Baseus Spacemate RD1 Pro Brings a Cleaner Desk, with Dual-Monitor Power and Wireless Charging

Baseus is positioning the Spacemate RD1 Pro as more than a simple docking station. The 15-in-1 device is built to turn a crowded laptop setup into a cleaner workstation by routing display output, data, charging, and accessories through a single USB-C connection.

That approach matters most for users who work with multiple peripherals at once. Instead of scattering adapters, chargers, and cable runs across a desk, the Spacemate RD1 Pro concentrates the essentials in one vertical unit that is designed to save space as much as it expands connectivity.

Vertical design, fewer desktop distractions

Unlike the flatter docking stations commonly seen on the market, the Spacemate RD1 Pro stands upright in a Space Simplified design. The vertical layout keeps the footprint compact, while the Cosmic Black finish and rounded edges give it a more premium look.

The body weighs about 636 grams, which helps keep it steady when thick cables are attached or when a phone is placed on the top charging pad. A small front display shows active ports and charging status in real time, while a physical button switches between Hybrid Mode and Charging Mode with a two-second press.

Hybrid Mode keeps data transfer, video output, and charging active at the same time. Charging Mode disables data and external display output so power can be directed toward maximum charging performance.

Ports arranged for work and convenience

The device combines 14 wired ports with one wireless charging pad, giving it a broad set of connections for everyday office and creative use. Baseus places the frequently used ports at the front and the more permanent connections at the back to make desk management easier.

The front includes two USB-C ports with up to 100W charging support and two USB-A 5Gbps ports. At the rear, users get two USB-C 10Gbps ports, SD and TF 3.0 card slots, two USB-A 480Mbps ports, one Gigabit Ethernet port, and two HDMI outputs.

Baseus says the dock is optimized for Windows and supports dual external monitors in extended mode. One HDMI output handles 4K at 120Hz, while the other supports 4K at 60Hz, making the dock suitable for users who want a multi-screen setup without giving up desk order.

Power handling stays steady under load

Power delivery is one of the Spacemate RD1 Pro’s main selling points. Baseus uses dynamic power distribution to manage a total output of 160W, helping the dock stay cool even when multiple devices are connected at once.

The included 180W GaN power brick provides the dock with enough headroom for demanding use, though the adapter itself is relatively large and still needs space in the setup. The front USB-C port was also tested with a 100W input power bank and maintained stable output at that level.

The top charging surface is a Qi2 magnetic wireless pad that can tilt for easier viewing. It supports up to 25W for compatible devices and is meant to make everyday phone use easier while charging, including checking notifications and using face unlock.

In testing with iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 Pro, charging remained stable at 15W, which matches the phones’ limits. The magnetic hold was functional, though it could be stronger, especially when a case is attached.

A capable dock with a few missing extras

During daily use, the dual-monitor setup remained responsive, although there were two brief HDMI signal drops that recovered quickly. File transfers were also consistent, including large video files moved through the USB-C 10Gbps connection.

The rear card readers add another practical layer for users who regularly move photos and media files, making the dock useful for content workflows as well as office work. At the same time, the absence of DisplayPort and a 3.5mm audio jack leaves some gaps for a product in this price range.

Ethernet is limited to 1Gbps as well, and that may feel modest for buyers expecting a more ambitious network feature set. Still, the Spacemate RD1 Pro aims to deliver a premium, space-saving docking experience with enough versatility to replace several separate accessories at once.

Its official retail price is $299.99, but Baseus has been offering coupons and discounts that bring the cost below $200. A separate promotion using the code BASEUSPR lowers the price to $189.99 between 23 June and 15 July, and the dock is available through Amazon and the official Baseus Indonesia website.
