Lenovo’s New Legion Tab Leaks With RGB, Still Set to Keep Flagship Power

Lenovo’s next Legion Tab is drawing attention for one unusual reason: RGB lighting around the rear camera. The design choice is rare for a tablet and immediately gives the device a more aggressive gaming identity.

The device has not been officially announced, but a leak from a gaming festival in China has already pushed it into the spotlight. In a crowded premium Android tablet market, Lenovo appears ready to lean on visual flair without giving up the performance profile expected from the Legion line.

RGB lighting turns the camera module into the main visual hook

The unreleased tablet was reportedly shown at the Nuclear Fusion Game Carnival 2026 Shenzhen Station in Shenzhen. Images from the event show a large rear camera module with a 50MP main sensor surrounded by a customizable RGB ring.

That lighting is said to serve more than one purpose. It can act as a gaming accent and also as a notification indicator, which makes the feature both decorative and functional.

The back also carries a “Savi” logo alongside the Legion branding. Together, the elements create a look that feels more premium and more assertive than earlier Legion Tab designs, which were generally more restrained.

A refresh of Legion Tab Gen 5 appears likely

Early reports suggest the tablet may be a refreshed version of the Legion Y700 Gen 5, also referred to as Legion Tab Gen 5. That model arrived in March 2026 and quickly established itself as a high-end gaming tablet with strong performance.

If the leak is accurate, the biggest changes may be limited to the exterior. The core hardware is expected to remain centered on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, one of the fastest Android chipsets available for demanding games and multitasking.

The display is also expected to stay familiar. Lenovo is reportedly keeping the 8.8-inch 3K panel with a 3040 x 1904 pixel resolution and a refresh rate of up to 165Hz for smoother motion in games and interface navigation.

Flagship-grade features are still expected to remain

Battery life is expected to be handled by a 9,000mAh cell with 68W fast charging. That combination matters for users who spend long sessions gaming and need faster recovery between charging stops.

The device is also said to retain bypass charging. This allows power from the adapter to go directly into the system instead of repeatedly charging the battery while the tablet is in use.

For gamers, that can help keep temperatures more stable during play while charging. Over time, it may also support better battery health by reducing unnecessary charging stress.

Lenovo is also expected to keep Super Connect 3.0. The feature helps the tablet work more smoothly with Lenovo laptops and Motorola smartphones.

Reports even suggest users may be able to view iPhone notifications and transfer files across devices. That would position the Legion line as more than a gaming device, giving it a broader role inside a connected productivity setup.

Top configurations could go up to 24GB RAM and 1TB storage

At the high end, the tablet is said to reach 24GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. That amount of memory and space would be useful for large games, high-resolution video, and multiple apps running at once.

If Lenovo keeps the update focused mostly on the design, pricing could stay near the current Legion Tab Gen 5 level. In China, that model starts at 3,999 yuan, or around Rp8.8 million.

Lenovo has not confirmed the official name, final specifications, or launch schedule. Even so, the RGB camera ring alone signals a clear shift in how Lenovo wants the Legion Tab to stand out among premium Android tablets.
