HMD Global is trying to keep the feature phone relevant by adding a layer of modern convenience to Nokia’s familiar keypad design. The company has introduced four new Nokia 4G models that combine a classic build with an AI button and cloud-connected services.
The lineup includes the Nokia 210 4G, Nokia 235 4G 2nd Edition, Nokia 215 4G 2nd Edition, and Nokia 200 4G. All four are aimed at users who still want simple calling and messaging, but now with a few smart tools built in.
AI Button Brings Voice Commands to the Keypad
Each model includes a dedicated AI button placed near the navigation keys. A single press activates a voice assistant powered by Sikey AI, letting users issue basic commands without typing.
The assistant can handle everyday tasks such as turning on the flashlight, opening the camera, setting alarms, creating reminders, making calls, and answering simple questions. HMD is also offering the AI service free for 180 days after activation, after which users must subscribe to keep using the full feature set.

Cloud Services Add More Than Offline Basics
Beyond the AI button, HMD has added cloud support to give these phones a broader set of internet-connected functions. Users can access video, weather forecasts, sports scores, and other online services without relying on the limited local storage of a feature phone.
That approach helps keep the devices light and practical for daily use. It also allows the phones to stay focused on their core role while adding enough online convenience to feel more current.
Familiar Nokia Design Still Leads the Experience
The company has kept the Nokia identity intact with a physical keypad and a sturdy body that remains easy to hold. At the same time, HMD has added metallic accents around the camera and speaker areas to give the phones a fresher appearance.
All four devices run on the lightweight S30+ operating system, which supports stability and low power consumption. That software choice fits the feature phone format and helps preserve the simple user experience that many buyers still prefer.
Battery Life and Everyday Extras Remain a Key Selling Point
Each phone comes with a 1,450 mAh battery, a capacity that should work well with the low power demands of a feature phone. The combination of modest hardware and lightweight software is meant to deliver long-lasting daily use without frequent charging.
HMD also keeps useful old-school extras in place. The phones include a 3.5 mm audio jack, FM radio, and a USB Type-C port, while Xpress Chat adds video calling and a more complete communication experience.
With these additions, the new Nokia 4G lineup is not positioned as a smartphone alternative, but as a practical option for people who value simplicity. It can also serve as a secondary phone for field workers, students, or anyone who wants to separate work and personal communication.
HMD has not announced official pricing or a global sales schedule for the four models yet. Even so, the launch shows that the company still sees room for feature phones, not only as nostalgic devices, but as a category that can still absorb useful modern upgrades.
