Reno16 Series Puts Telephoto on Every Model, Oppo Also Adds a 7,000 mAh Battery Shock

Oppo has broadened the Reno16 Series in Indonesia with three models at once: the Reno16 5G, Reno16 Pro 5G, and Reno16 F 5G. The most noticeable change is the same across the lineup, with a 50MP telephoto camera now appearing on every variant.

The move gives the series a clearer identity in the crowded mid-premium class. Oppo is pairing that camera focus with Android 16, ColorOS 16, and large silicon-carbon batteries built for longer daily use.

Telephoto is now the common thread

Across the family, Oppo has placed a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom, a feature that usually matters most for users who shoot subjects from a moderate distance. It is the rare lineup where even the most affordable model keeps that lens in place.

Model Main Camera Telephoto Front Camera
Reno16 5G 50MP with OIS 50MP, 3.5x optical zoom 50MP with autofocus
Reno16 Pro 5G 200MP with OIS 50MP, 3.5x optical zoom 50MP with autofocus
Reno16 F 5G 50MP 50MP, 3.5x optical zoom 50MP with autofocus

The Reno16 5G also carries a 50MP ultrawide camera and a front camera that can record up to 4K 60fps. Reno16 Pro 5G pushes the hardware further with a 200MP main sensor, while keeping the same 50MP telephoto and 50MP selfie camera with autofocus.

Reno16 F 5G keeps the same overall camera pattern but uses an 8MP ultrawide sensor instead. That makes the entry model more modest in the secondary camera department, while still preserving the telephoto and 50MP front camera combination.

Android 16 arrives from the first boot

All three models ship with Android 16 and ColorOS 16 out of the box. That gives the Reno16 Series a newer software baseline than many phones that still rely on later updates to reach the same version.

According to Deni Setiawan, Strategic Training & Product Manager OPPO Indonesia, the Reno line is designed to support productivity and content creation. He described Reno as a companion for trying new things, enjoying new experiences, and expressing personal style.

Battery life is another headline feature

Oppo uses silicon-carbon batteries throughout the series, and the capacities are substantial. The Reno16 5G and Reno16 Pro 5G each carry a 6,700mAh battery, while the Reno16 F 5G goes even further with 7,000mAh for the international market.

Model Battery Charging Extra Feature
Reno16 5G 6,700mAh 80W SuperVOOC
Reno16 Pro 5G 6,700mAh 80W SuperVOOC Reverse charging
Reno16 F 5G 7,000mAh 80W Full charge in about 62 minutes

Both the Reno16 5G and Reno16 Pro 5G support 80W SuperVOOC Flash Charger. The Pro model also adds reverse charging, while Oppo says the Reno16 F 5G can reach a full charge in about 62 minutes with its 80W system.

Display and performance split the three models

The Reno16 5G uses a 6.32-inch AMOLED display with 1,216 x 2,640 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and Adreno 722 graphics.

Reno16 Pro 5G keeps the 6.32-inch AMOLED panel but raises the refresh rate to 144Hz. It runs on MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super with Mali-G720 MC8 graphics.

Reno16 F 5G steps up to a 6.57-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Its chipset is MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy, positioning it as the efficiency-focused option in the range.

Pricing places the series in the upper mid-range

In Indonesia, the Reno16 5G starts at around Rp11,999,000 and goes up to Rp12,999,000 depending on the memory configuration. The Reno16 Pro 5G with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage is priced at around Rp14,999,000.

The Reno16 F 5G also has an international pricing reference, including an 8GB and 256GB version in Germany that converts to roughly Rp7,999,000 to Rp8,699,000. With telephoto cameras on every model, Android 16, large batteries, and IP68/IP69 durability, Oppo is making the Reno16 Series one of its boldest updates in the segment.
