Reno16 F 5G Steals the Spotlight in Indonesia, with the Biggest Battery in the Lineup

Oppo has launched the Reno16 Series in Indonesia with three models at once, but the most affordable variant is the one drawing the most attention. The Reno16 F 5G arrives with the largest battery in the family, a 7,000 mAh cell, while the higher-end Reno16 Pro 5G and Reno16 5G both use 6,700 mAh batteries.

The lineup also enters the market with a broad spread of prices, starting from Rp 7.999.000 for the Reno16 F 5G and rising to Rp 14.999.000 for the Reno16 Pro 5G. Oppo has opened pre-orders through its official stores and sales channels in Indonesia.

Three models, five configurations

Oppo is offering the Reno16 Series in five memory and storage combinations. The price ladder shows a clear segmentation between the entry model, the mid-tier option, and the flagship variant.

During the pre-order period, Oppo is also preparing purchase bonuses and promotional programs, although the company has not detailed those offers publicly. That keeps the focus on the hardware mix, especially the battery advantage on the cheapest model.

Shared camera foundation across the lineup

All three phones are built around a similar camera setup. Each model carries a main camera with optical image stabilization, a telephoto camera with around 3.5x optical zoom, an ultra-wide camera, and a 50 MP ultra-wide front camera.

This common platform means buyers of the Reno16 F 5G do not lose the core camera features that define the rest of the series. Oppo is using that consistency to position the lineup as more balanced than a typical entry-to-flagship split.

The biggest jump is on the Pro model

The Reno16 Pro 5G receives the strongest camera upgrade in the series with a 200 MP Ultra Clear Camera. Oppo says the sensor is designed to preserve detail even after cropping.

It is paired with the same 3.5x optical telephoto lens, an ultra-wide camera, and a 50 MP ultra-wide selfie camera. On performance, the Pro model uses a MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super chipset, AI HyperBoost 3.0, and support for up to 144 Hz in compatible games.

Battery size gives the entry model an unusual advantage

The Reno16 F 5G stands out because its battery is larger than both of the more expensive models. Oppo equips it with a 7,000 mAh battery and 80W SuperVOOC fast charging, matching the charging speed offered by the other two devices.

The Reno16 5G sits in the middle with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset and comes in 8 GB/256 GB and 12 GB/256 GB variants. Like the Pro, it carries a 6,700 mAh battery and 80W SuperVOOC charging.

For a more premium package, the Reno16 Pro 5G also includes IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. The Reno16 F 5G matches those durability certifications as well, giving the lowest-priced model a feature set that goes beyond its entry-level label.

AI tools and ColorOS 16 are central to the pitch

All three phones run ColorOS 16 with a set of new AI features aimed at productivity and content creation. Oppo highlights AI Mind Pilot, which can draw on multiple AI models, including ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity, to help complete different tasks.

Other tools include AI Mind Space for saving information from the screen, AI Bill Manager for handling transaction receipts, and AI Menu Translation for translating foreign-language menus. Oppo also adds AI-powered photo tools such as Pop Camera and AI Kolase Mix for on-device editing without separate apps.

O Bubble expands the ecosystem

Alongside the phones, Oppo introduced the O Bubble Trendy Selfie Screen, a magnetic rear-mounted accessory priced at Rp 1.499.000. It is designed to show a real-time preview from the rear camera for selfies and content creation.

The accessory is about 7 mm thick, weighs 27.5 grams, connects via Bluetooth, and can be used from up to 10 meters away. It also works as a remote shutter and lets users switch zoom levels from 0.6x, 1x, 2x, to 3.5x without touching the phone screen.

According to Oppo, O Bubble is not limited to the Reno16 Series. It also works with other Oppo devices running ColorOS 16 and supports connection with iPhone.

The result is a launch that combines strong battery life, a shared camera baseline, and AI-focused software across the range, while leaving the cheapest variant with the most surprising hardware advantage.
