OPPO has officially launched the Reno16 Series in Indonesia, positioning the lineup as a premium option for young users who create content, play games, and need a phone that can keep up with daily productivity. The series arrives with a strong mix of AI photography, large batteries, and a design that is meant to stand out in a crowded mid-to-premium market.
The lineup consists of three models: OPPO Reno16 Pro 5G, Reno16 5G, and Reno16 F 5G. OPPO frames the series under the “My Reno, My Planet” concept, which emphasizes personal expression through AI-powered features.
Design built around a more dramatic visual identity
One of the most distinctive changes is the new Planet 3D design. On the Pop White variant, OPPO uses HoloVerse 3D technology, which the company says is the first of its kind in the smartphone industry.
The back panel uses millions of micro-lenses to create a planet-like, nebula-style effect that shifts with reflected light. OPPO also applies a cold-sculpted one-piece rear design so the camera module blends more cleanly into the body.
The displays are sized differently depending on the model. The Reno16 Pro 5G and Reno16 5G both use a 6.32-inch panel, while the Reno16 F 5G comes with a larger 6.57-inch screen for users who prefer a wider viewing area.
Cameras are the main selling point
OPPO is placing heavy emphasis on imaging, with all three models equipped with a high-resolution main camera, OIS, a portrait telephoto camera with about 3.5x optical zoom, and an ultra-wide camera. The Reno16 Pro 5G adds an Ultra Clear Camera 200MP, giving users more flexibility when cropping photos while keeping detail intact.
For selfies, the entire series carries a 50MP Ultra Wide front camera with a viewing angle of up to 100 degrees. OPPO also includes several AI-based tools such as Pop Camera, AI Collage Mix, Popout Collage 2.0, Video 4K Ultra Stabil, and Dual View Video 2.0.
ColorOS 16 adds more personal AI functions
The Reno16 Series also arrives with ColorOS 16, which brings a set of AI tools aimed at making the phone more useful in everyday routines. The AI Snap Key provides quick access to AI Mind Space, where users can automatically store notes, images, and important information.
OPPO also includes AI Bill Manager, designed to recognize transaction receipts and help users track spending. Another addition is AI Mind Pilot, which combines the capabilities of ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity depending on user needs.
For travelers, AI Menu Translation can translate food menus, display ingredient details, flag potential allergens, and convert prices automatically.
Performance, battery life, and protection
On the performance side, the Reno16 Pro 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super, paired with AI HyperBoost 3.0, a new cooling system, and support for refresh rates of up to 144Hz in certain games. The Reno16 5G uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 for gaming, multitasking, and content creation.
The Reno16 Pro 5G and Reno16 5G both come with a 6,700mAh battery. The Reno16 F 5G goes even larger with a 7,000mAh battery, and all models support 80W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge.
OPPO also adds AI LinkBoost 4.0, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certification, plus Splash Touch and Glove Touch. These features help keep the display responsive even when hands are wet or when the user is wearing gloves.

An accessory designed for content creators
OPPO Bubble is introduced as a magnetic accessory weighing 35 grams. It includes an AMOLED display that can function as an additional monitor when using the rear camera.
Users can control the shutter button from up to 10 meters away, making it more convenient for selfies or group shots. The accessory can also be personalized with images, animations, and text.
Beyond the devices themselves, OPPO is preparing supporting activities such as Reno Land at M Bloc Jakarta from 3–5 July 2026. Buyers of the Reno16 Series will also have a chance to join the OPPO BABYMONSTER Global Fan Meet-up in Jakarta on 19 September 2026.
