HMD Global is giving classic feature phones a modern twist by adding on-device AI to four new Nokia 4G models. The lineup includes the Nokia 200 4G, Nokia 210 4G, Nokia 215 4G (2nd Edition), and Nokia 235 4G (2nd Edition).
The most striking change is a dedicated AI button placed on the directional pad. For a feature phone, that move brings basic voice control and hands-free access into a category that has long been associated with simple, button-first operation.
AI support comes with a limited free period
HMD Global says the assistant runs on Sikey AI, which powers the on-device AI experience across the four models. The system is designed to handle basic voice commands and help users control selected phone functions with fewer button presses.
According to HMD’s official specifications, AI access is free for the first 180 days of ownership. After that period ends, users must pay for a subscription to keep using the service.
There is also an extra requirement tied to the subscription process. The paid plan must be purchased through a separate secondary smartphone, which makes the service less straightforward than a typical built-in phone feature.
Screen and camera differences separate the models
Although the four devices share the same general direction, they are not identical. The Nokia 210 4G and Nokia 215 4G use a compact 2.4-inch QVGA display, while the Nokia 215 4G and Nokia 235 4G come with a larger 2.8-inch IPS panel at the same QVGA resolution.

| Nokia 210 4G | 2.4-inch QVGA | Rear camera |

| Nokia 235 4G (2nd Edition) | 2.8-inch IPS QVGA | 2MP rear camera |
All four devices include an integrated VGA camera for Xpress chat video calls. Camera hardware still varies, however, because the Nokia 210 4G and Nokia 235 4G also add a rear camera, with the Nokia 235 4G using a 2-megapixel sensor.
Core hardware keeps the feature-phone identity intact
Each model runs on S30+ and uses a removable 1,450 mAh battery. That combination keeps the phones firmly in feature-phone territory even as AI functions push them closer to smart-device behavior.
Connectivity and multimedia support are also broadly consistent across the range. All variants include Bluetooth 5.0, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, built-in FM Radio, and a standard USB-C charging port.
HMD Global has not announced official pricing or regional availability for the four phones. Indonesia availability has also not been confirmed.
The arrival of a dedicated AI button on Nokia feature phones points to a new direction for the category. HMD Global appears to be blending the simplicity of classic handsets with functions that are usually reserved for more modern devices.
