The confirmation, shared through an Instagram post with Qualcomm, points to both Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra using the same high-end platform.
That detail matters because Samsung is not just keeping performance at the top end. It is also shaping a two-model strategy around a premium chipset that has already been tuned specifically for Galaxy devices.
Two Fold models, one flagship platform
According to the information circulating around the devices, both the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra will run Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy. The “for Galaxy” version is a custom variant optimized through Samsung’s work with Qualcomm.
