OnePlus has taken a familiar route in India’s entry-level market, but with a sharper pitch than usual. The new OnePlus N6 5G is built around endurance, pairing a massive 8000mAh battery with a design that still aims to look and feel more premium than its price suggests.
That battery is the headline feature, and OnePlus says it can last up to three days under normal use. To keep the charging gap from becoming a problem, the phone also supports 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging, giving the device a rare mix of long runtime and relatively quick refills.
Battery first, then everything else
At a time when many budget 5G phones still force buyers to choose between endurance and convenience, the N6 5G tries to reduce that trade-off. OnePlus appears to be targeting users who want a phone that can handle daily use without constant top-ups.
The company’s focus on battery life is also tied to practical design choices. Despite the large capacity, the phone is presented as a more polished option in its segment rather than a bulky battery-focused device.
Display and durability in one package
The front of the device carries a 6.8-inch LCD panel with HD resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 1200 nits. That combination should help the screen feel smoother in everyday use while also improving outdoor visibility.
OnePlus also gives the phone IP65 protection, adding resistance against dust and water. The handset arrives in Fresh Mint and Midnight Black, while the square-shaped camera module gives the rear side a cleaner, more modern look.
Performance built for everyday 5G use
Inside, the OnePlus N6 5G uses the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex 5G chipset. Buyers get 4GB or 6GB of RAM, plus 128GB of internal storage that can be expanded with a memory card.
To help with heat control, OnePlus has included a 5,300mm² vapor cooling system. That detail matters because the phone is meant to stay comfortable during longer sessions, whether that means regular app use or heavier workloads.
Cameras and AI features
The camera setup is simple, led by a 50MP main camera and a 2MP monochrome lens. It is not designed to compete with premium camera phones, but it still covers basic photography needs for everyday documentation.
OnePlus adds AI Eraser and AI Unblur tools to the imaging package. Those features give users a faster way to clean up photos or improve clarity without relying on more advanced editing steps.
Software support and pricing
The phone ships with OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16. OnePlus is promising two major OS updates and three years of regular security patches, which gives the device a clearer support roadmap than many phones in this price range.
In India, the 4GB/128GB model starts at ₹22.999, while the 6GB/128GB version is priced at ₹24.999. Sales have already begun through Amazon India, making the N6 5G one of OnePlus’s most aggressive entry-level pushes in the market.
