MacBook Neo Still the Only Available Option as MacBook Pro M5 Prices Climb Sharply

Apple’s MacBook lineup in Indonesia is facing a broader price reset, but the sharpest frustration may be that the cheapest option is still the only one left to buy. MacBook Neo remains available at iBox, while Mac models with M4 and M5 chips are already marked out of stock.

That makes the entry-level model a rare point of access for buyers who want to pick up a MacBook right now. At the same time, its own price has also risen by Rp2,500,000, limiting the appeal of the most affordable path into Apple’s laptop lineup.

MacBook Neo Sees a Smaller Increase, But It Still Matters

On iBox’s page as of July 10, 2026, the two 13-inch MacBook Neo variants both show the same increase. The 8 GB/256 GB model moved from Rp10,749,000 to Rp13,249,000, while the 8 GB/512 GB version rose from Rp12,999,000 to Rp15,499,000.

The jump is smaller than what higher-end models are seeing, but it still pushes the MacBook Neo further away from its original low-cost position. For buyers watching the entry price closely, the increase narrows the gap between Neo and more powerful MacBook Air and Pro models.

Model Initial Price Latest Price Increase
MacBook Neo 13-inch 8GB/256GB Rp10,749,000 Rp13,249,000 Rp2,500,000

MacBook Air 15-inch M5 16GB/512GB Rp24,499,000 Rp28,999,000 Rp4,500,000
MacBook Pro 14-inch M5 16GB/1TB Rp31,499,000 Rp38,999,000 Rp7,500,000
MacBook Pro 14-inch M5 Pro 16GB/1TB Rp40,499,000 Rp49,499,000 Rp9,000,000
MacBook Pro 14-inch M5 Pro 24GB/1TB Rp48,999,000 Rp58,499,000 Rp9,500,000

MacBook Pro M5 Pro Posts the Biggest Jump

The most dramatic increase is found in the MacBook Pro 14-inch M5 Pro with 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. Its price climbed from Rp48,999,000 to Rp58,499,000, a rise of Rp9,500,000 from its original launch level.

Another MacBook Pro M5 Pro configuration also moved up steeply, with the 16 GB/1 TB version going from Rp40,499,000 to Rp49,499,000. The standard MacBook Pro 14-inch M5 with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage also rose from Rp31,499,000 to Rp38,999,000.

MacBook Air M5 Also Becomes More Expensive

The MacBook Air M5 line has not been spared either. The 13-inch model with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage now costs Rp24,999,000, up from Rp20,499,000, while the 15-inch version with the same configuration has increased from Rp24,499,000 to Rp28,999,000.

With those changes, the gap between the entry-level MacBook Neo and the M5 family remains wide, but the overall ladder of MacBook pricing has shifted upward. For consumers, the current picture is simple: the only model still listed as available is the cheapest one, and even that option is no longer priced at its original level.
