Instagram Plus has officially reached Indonesia, giving users access to 14 exclusive features through an optional subscription. The service arrives after WhatsApp Plus, and it comes with one free month before the regular fee begins.
The monthly price in Indonesia is set at Rp 17.900, according to detikINET’s observation on Friday (10/7/2026). Users on Android and iOS can already see the subscription option in the Instagram app, provided they have updated to the latest version.
How the subscription works
To start, users need to open Instagram, tap their profile photo in the bottom right corner, then enter Settings through the three-line menu in the top right. From there, they can scroll down until the Instagram Plus option appears and follow the on-screen steps.
If they decide not to continue, the subscription must be canceled before the free trial ends to avoid being charged for the second month. Instagram also says that more exclusive features will be added in the coming months.
