Lenovo has pushed the idea of a thin gaming laptop further with the Legion R9000X 2026, a 15.3-inch model that ships without a discrete graphics card. Instead, the machine relies entirely on AMD hardware for both processing and graphics, allowing Lenovo to keep the chassis at 1.55 kg and 15.5 mm thin.
That design choice is what makes the laptop stand out most. Rather than pairing a powerful CPU with a separate GPU, Lenovo built the system around the Ryzen AI Max+ 392 and Radeon 8060S, aiming to deliver high-end performance in a body that is much easier to carry than many gaming notebooks.
AMD power takes center stage
The Legion R9000X 2026 uses AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 392, a 4nm chip based on the Zen 5 architecture. It comes with 12 cores, 24 threads, and a maximum boost clock of up to 5GHz.
Graphics are handled by the integrated Radeon 8060S, which is built on RDNA 3.5 and includes 40 compute units. Lenovo says this setup can deliver graphics performance comparable to a discrete GPU, which is the key reason the laptop can stay unusually slim for its class.
