Acer has quietly returned to the smartphone conversation with the Sospiro A15, a device that tries to stand out through an unusual mix of features. The combination of dual screens, a 64MP camera, and Android 16 gives it a profile that is not typical for the midrange segment.
The phone has already appeared on Acer Mobile LATAM’s official site, but key commercial details remain undisclosed. Price and launch timing have not been revealed yet, leaving the device in a preview stage for now.
A back display with a real purpose
The main display on the Acer Sospiro A15 is a 6.67-inch IPS LCD panel with HD resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. That setup should make everyday scrolling and animations feel smoother than on many basic handsets.
The second screen is where the phone becomes more distinctive. The 1.88-inch TFT display on the back is not just decorative, since it can show notifications, control music playback, and even work as a viewfinder for selfies taken with the rear camera.
| Display | Specification | Main Use |
|---|---|---|
| Front Screen | 6.67-inch IPS LCD, HD, 120Hz | Smoother everyday viewing |
| Rear Screen | 1.88-inch TFT | Notifications, music, selfie viewfinder |
Android 16 and Unisoc T615 shape the core experience
Acer ships the Sospiro A15 with Android 16 out of the box, which means users get the latest Android platform without waiting for an initial software upgrade. That also suggests a cleaner start for future compatibility and security support.
Performance is handled by the Unisoc T615, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Acer also includes virtual RAM expansion up to 14GB and a microSD slot that supports expansion up to 1TB.
There is one important limitation, however. The Unisoc T615 does not support 5G, so connectivity remains limited to 4G LTE.
64MP camera system and a selfie-friendly setup
On the rear, Acer equips the Sospiro A15 with a 64MP AI main camera and LED flash. The front camera uses a 16MP sensor and also includes LED flash for low-light selfies.
The rear display adds an extra advantage for photography. It allows users to take selfies with the main camera, which can deliver a higher-quality result than relying only on the front camera.
| Camera | Details | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Main Camera | 64MP AI | LED flash |
| Front Camera | 16MP | LED flash |
Battery, durability, and everyday features
The phone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging, which should be enough for typical daily tasks such as social media, browsing, streaming, and light productivity. Acer also adds a broad set of connectivity options to keep the device practical.
Those extras include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, VoLTE and ViLTE, FM radio, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Sospiro A15 also carries an IP64 rating, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and Face Unlock.
Colors and availability remain open
Acer Mobile LATAM says the Sospiro A15 will be sold in several Latin American markets, including Mexico. The two color options are Vibrant Orange and Deep Blue.
Even though the phone is already listed on the official site, Acer has not confirmed the price or whether the model will reach other regions, including Asia and Indonesia. For now, the Sospiro A15 remains a notable example of how Acer is trying to differentiate itself with a dual-screen design, Android 16, and a 64MP camera in one package.
