Minisforum’s MS-03 is shaping up as a very different kind of mini PC. Rather than chasing home-use convenience alone, it is aimed at enterprise IT and local AI workloads that usually demand far larger machines.
The compact system combines high-end connectivity, unusual expansion options, and support for discrete graphics in a body measuring just 196 x 189 x 48 mm. That mix gives it a workstation-like profile that is uncommon in this category.
Built around local AI processing
At the center of the MS-03 is Intel’s Panther Lake Core Ultra 9 386H, a 16-core, 16-thread processor with turbo speeds up to 4.9 GHz. In balanced mode, the chip is configured with an 80W power limit.
For on-device AI tasks, the platform includes a 50 TOPS integrated NPU and a 40 TOPS integrated GPU. Minisforum says the machine can run Gemma 4-26B at 22.05 tokens per second, positioning it as a serious option for local inference.

Storage and memory go far beyond a typical mini PC
The MS-03 supports up to 128GB of DDR5 memory at speeds of up to 7200 MT/s through two SO-DIMM slots. That gives the system enough headroom for demanding workloads that benefit from larger memory pools.
Storage expansion is equally ambitious. Minisforum has placed three M.2 NVMe slots on the board, including two PCIe 5.0 slots and one PCIe 4.0 slot, and the retail package includes an M.2-to-U.2 adapter.

That adapter allows the mini PC to accept enterprise U.2 SSDs ranging from 7 mm to 15TB, a detail that makes the MS-03 look more like compact business hardware than a standard consumer desktop.
Enterprise networking is a major part of the appeal
The rear panel is dominated by serious wired networking options. Minisforum equips the MS-03 with two 10GbE SFP+ fiber ports powered by an Intel X710 controller, alongside one 10GbE RJ-45 port and one 2.5GbE RJ-45 port.
Wireless connectivity is also current, with Intel’s BE211 module offering Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. The networking mix clearly points to environments where speed, stability, and flexible deployment matter.
Discrete GPU support sets it apart
The MS-03 includes a physical PCIe x16 slot that operates as PCIe 4.0 x4 for half-height expansion cards. More notably, the chassis also supports a low-profile discrete GPU with up to 75W of power and as many as eight PCIe lanes.
For display output and peripherals, the system provides two USB4 Type-C ports with DisplayPort 2.1 Alt Mode, one HDMI 2.1 port, and four USB-A ports split between the front and rear. Intel vPro support is also included for remote management, including monitoring, out-of-band repair, and power cycling.
Cooling and launch timing
Minisforum uses a cooling system built around three heatpipes and one fan. In balanced mode, the company says noise stays around 38 dB even under full load.
Global pre-orders for the MS-03 open on 23 July, although Minisforum has not announced pricing yet. The timing comes as Beelink has also introduced the EQi 304 Mini PC with Intel Wildcat Lake and up to 32GB of DDR5 memory.
With local AI support, dual 10GbE networking, and discrete GPU compatibility in such a small body, the MS-03 is aimed squarely at users who need more than a basic mini PC. It is being positioned as a compact edge workstation for professional environments.
