Xiaomi’s New Mijia Water Flosser Packs a Screen, App Control, and 105-Day Battery Life

Xiaomi has taken another ordinary home-care device and turned it into something far more connected. The Mijia Smart Water Flosser Pro adds a color display, smartphone control, and a battery claim that reaches up to 105 days on a single charge.

The device is aimed at users who want more control over oral care without giving up portability. It is sold through Xiaomi Youpin in China at 399 yuan and comes in Gold, Twilight Gray, and Light Purple.

Two water streams for broader cleaning

The standout hardware feature is the rotating nozzle, which releases two streams of water at once. A standard jet runs through the center, while the outer stream forms a wider umbrella-like spray.

According to Xiaomi, this dual-stream approach covers a wider area than a conventional nozzle and is designed to remove up to 99.99% of plaque. The nozzle tip also includes a small silicone guide to help direct water between teeth.

Feature Details Notes
Main nozzle Dual water streams Standard jet plus outer umbrella-shaped spray
Microbubble nozzle Air mixed into water Designed to feel gentler for sensitive gums
Orthodontic nozzle Bristle-equipped nozzle Helps clean around braces and retainers

Xiaomi also includes two additional nozzle options. The microbubble nozzle mixes air into the water for a softer feel on sensitive gums, while the orthodontic nozzle uses bristles to help clean around braces and retainers.

Color display and app-based control

A small color screen sits on the handle and shows the cleaning mode, remaining battery level, and timer during use. The device offers four built-in modes: Gentle, Standard, Strong, and Custom.

When paired with the Mijia app, the system becomes more flexible. Users can choose from 10 water pressure levels, three pulse speeds, and three flow patterns: continuous, intermittent, and wave.

The app also tracks usage frequency and session duration, while sending reminder notifications to encourage more regular flossing. That makes the water flosser part of Xiaomi’s broader smart-device ecosystem rather than a standalone cleaning tool.

Modular tank design and battery claims

Xiaomi uses a modular water tank setup for both portability and home use. The main handle holds 80mL of water to keep the device compact, while a 220mL tank can be attached at the bottom for use at home.

The nozzle can also be removed and stored inside the main body to save space in a bag. Charging is handled through USB-C, and a full charge takes about four hours.

The company says the battery can last up to 105 days on a single charge. The Mijia Smart Water Flosser Pro also carries an IPX8 water-resistance rating, a travel lock to prevent accidental activation, and a two-minute automatic shutoff timer.

Xiaomi adds a pressure stabilization system designed to keep the water flow consistent even as battery power runs down. Combined with the modular tank and the app controls, the device is positioned as a more complete option than a basic water flosser.

The launch also fits into Xiaomi’s recent Mijia lineup expansion, which includes a green handheld fan and a 5L smart kettle with app connectivity, 1°C temperature control, and water circulation technology.

With its screen, app support, and portable design, the Mijia Smart Water Flosser Pro is clearly aimed at users looking for a more practical and measurable oral-care device. Xiaomi Youpin is the initial sales channel for the product in China.
