Sony LinkBuds Clip Lands in India, Open-Ear Comfort Without Losing Awareness

Sony has brought the LinkBuds Clip to India, targeting users who want a wireless listening experience without fully shutting out the world around them. The open-ear, clip-style design places comfort and situational awareness at the center of the product.

Priced at INR 18,990, the earbuds went on sale on 13 July through both online and offline retailers. That positioning gives consumers another option in the growing category of open-ear earbuds, especially for daily use in environments where hearing outside sounds still matters.

Built For Comfort And Everyday Use

Unlike conventional in-ear earbuds, the LinkBuds Clip leaves the ear canal relatively open. That means users can keep listening to audio while still picking up surrounding sounds more naturally.

Sony pairs that approach with a flexible clip that adapts to different ear shapes and sizes. The earbuds also include Air Fitting Cushions, which are designed to help them sit more securely when needed.

For everyday mobility, the IPX4 rating adds protection against sweat and light splashes. That makes the LinkBuds Clip suitable for routines that move between commuting, walking, and other active settings.

Three Audio Modes For Different Situations

Sony equips the LinkBuds Clip with three audio modes: Standard for daily listening, Voice Boost for noisy environments, and Sound Leakage Reduction for quieter settings. The company says the tuning is balanced across different genres, while DSEE is included to help restore detail in compressed music files.

Battery life is another notable part of the package. Sony claims up to 9 hours of continuous playback, rising to 37 hours when the charging case is included.

The color range is also broader than many models in this segment. Sony offers Green, Greige, Black, and Lavender, giving buyers several design choices to match personal style.

With the India launch of the LinkBuds Clip, Sony is continuing to push open-ear earbuds into a wider market. The clip-style fit, adaptive audio modes, and long total battery life make the model a clear fit for listeners who want music without giving up awareness of their surroundings.
