Three 50 MP Cameras Meet an 8,000mAh Battery in Oppo K15 Ahead of July 24 Debut

Oppo K15 is set to combine three 50 MP cameras with an 8,000mAh battery, bringing an unusual mix of imaging and endurance features to the mid-range segment. The phone is scheduled to launch in China on July 24, while pre-orders are already listed through Oppo’s official China store.

The rear setup includes a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilisation, accompanied by a 50 MP ultrawide camera and an LED flash. Oppo has also listed a 50 MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

Launch details and early configurations

The launch event is scheduled for 10.00 local China time, or 07.30 WIB. The initial retail listing confirms at least one model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Two colour options appear on the store page, translated as Gale Grey and Rapid White. Oppo has not yet disclosed pricing or a complete list of configurations.

Built for extended heavy use

The standout hardware feature is the 8,000mAh battery, which supports 80W wired fast charging. Oppo K15 also includes bypass charging and a component the company calls the “Glacier Battery Energy Gathering chip.”

These features place the emphasis on sustained use rather than battery capacity alone. Bypass charging can be particularly relevant when the phone is used for demanding activities such as gaming.

Oppo has paired the large battery with an active cooling fan. The phone also includes a vapour chamber with a heat dissipation area of 4,950 square millimetres.

The cooling system is intended to reduce excessive heat and limit performance drops under high workloads. Active cooling was previously used in the Oppo K15 Pro and Oppo K15 Pro+, which were introduced in China in April.

Dimensity processor and navigation support

The Oppo K15 uses a MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Super octa-core processor alongside Tidal Engine. Information on Oppo’s official store places the chip within the Dimensity 7000 series family.

The handset features a 6.59-inch flat display and carries an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. Its navigation hardware supports dual-frequency GPS and triple-frequency BeiDou.

With an active cooling fan, a large vapour chamber, and an 8,000mAh battery, the device is positioned around long-duration use and thermal control. According to details reported by Gadgets360 from Oppo’s China store, the remaining specifications will be revealed at the July 24 launch.

Oppo K15 will become the third device in this particular lineup after the K15 Pro and K15 Pro+. Availability beyond China has not been detailed in the information currently listed.
