Xiaomi has opened pre-orders in China for a purple version of its Bluetooth Speaker C, priced at 299 yuan. The new finish keeps the same hardware as the previously introduced black model, but adds a more distinctive colour option.
The portable speaker’s most notable capability is Auracast support, which can connect up to 100 compatible speakers at the same time. This allows the device to be used in wider shared-audio arrangements rather than only as a standalone speaker.
Xiaomi equips the speaker with Bluetooth 6.0 for wireless connectivity. Two Xiaomi Bluetooth Speaker C units can also be paired through True Wireless Stereo, separating playback into left and right channels.
Audio Hardware Remains Unchanged
The purple model uses one 18W full-range driver and two passive radiators. One radiator is positioned inside the body, while the other is placed externally to support lower-frequency output from the compact enclosure.
Its listed frequency response ranges from 75Hz to 20kHz, with a signal-to-noise ratio of at least 95dB. These audio specifications are unchanged from the existing version.
Gizmochina reports that the speaker also has circular LED lighting at the top and bottom of its body. The lights can synchronise with music playback to add a visual element during use.
Users can choose from Ripple, Beat, and Constant-On lighting patterns. The light colour can be changed with the physical controls on the speaker.
Battery Claim Depends on Usage Conditions
The device carries a 2,600mAh battery, with Xiaomi claiming playback of up to 14 hours on a single charge. That figure applies when the volume is set to 40 percent and the LED lighting is switched off.
An integrated microphone allows the speaker to receive calls while connected to a phone. The design uses a compact cylindrical form, measuring slightly more than 20 centimetres in height and weighing 415 grams.
Its exterior is wrapped in woven fabric and includes an integrated silicone strap for carrying. The speaker is also rated IP68 for dust and water resistance.

The purple edition changes the appearance rather than the speaker’s audio, battery, or connectivity configuration. White and green versions are already available globally, although Xiaomi has not confirmed when those colours may reach the China market.
