Poco M8 Power has surfaced on Flipkart with a teaser focused on a large battery, pointing to an approaching launch in India. The listing does not state a capacity, but earlier reports have suggested an 8,000mAh battery.
That capacity would make battery endurance the most prominent part of the phone’s expected appeal. Poco has not yet confirmed the launch date, full specifications, design, or available variants.
A Possible Redmi Note 17 Connection
The upcoming model is reportedly based on the Redmi Note 17 already sold in China. If that connection proves accurate, the Indian Poco device could inherit much of the Redmi model’s hardware configuration.
The Redmi Note 17 carries an 8,000mAh battery with 45W wired charging support. It also uses a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra chipset.
| Feature | Poco M8 Power | Redmi Note 17 in China |
|---|---|---|
| Battery | Possibly 8,000mAh | 8,000mAh |
| Wired charging | Not confirmed | 45W |
| Display | May use a similar panel | 6.67-inch AMOLED, 120Hz |
| Processor | Not confirmed | MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra |
Expected Hardware Remains Unconfirmed
In China, the Redmi Note 17 is available with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Its rear camera system includes a 50MP main camera using the Sony LYT-600 sensor and a 2MP depth sensor.
The Chinese model also has a 20MP front camera. There is no official confirmation that Poco M8 Power will use the same cameras, memory options, display, or processor.
A reference to the phone was previously found in HyperOS code under model number 2602IPC8I. The same report indicated that Poco M8 Power may be exclusive to the Indian market.
Flipkart Listing Offers the Strongest Launch Signal
The Flipkart microsite uses the phrase “ready for big battery,” without revealing further product details. Its appearance nevertheless suggests that Poco’s announcement preparations are underway.
Gadgets360 reported that the device could launch during the current quarter. The timing is consistent with the arrival of the official teaser on Flipkart.
The rebadging claim remains unconfirmed by Poco, and regional hardware differences are still possible. Official information will be needed to establish whether the anticipated 8,000mAh battery and other Redmi Note 17 specifications will reach the Indian version.
