Xiaomi’s upcoming global Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is associated with a 9,210 mAh battery and 100W fast charging. The combination emerged through earlier certification information, although Xiaomi has yet to confirm the device’s final specifications.
The phone has now appeared at Thailand’s NBTC under model number 2609FRA74G. Its certification is an indication that the global version is moving closer to commercial availability in selected markets.
Two Redmi Models Reach Thailand’s Regulator
NBTC also listed the global Redmi Note 17 with model number 26081RA18G. The regulator’s entries do not disclose technical specifications for either model.
Still, the filings provide a concrete sign that the Redmi Note 17 Series is progressing beyond earlier reports and certifications. The standard and Pro Max models are expected to serve different needs within Xiaomi’s global mid-range lineup.

GSMArena reports that the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max has also been linked to an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Its battery capacity, charging capability, and protection rating were previously associated with NCC and Eurofins certifications.
The global Pro Max variant is expected in four memory and storage configurations. The reported options are 8GB/256GB, 8GB/512GB, 12GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB.
Standard Redmi Note 17 Could Receive a Smaller Battery
The global Redmi Note 17 is said to be very similar to the Chinese version. One reported difference is battery capacity, with 7,700 mAh for the global model and 8,000 mAh for the Chinese model.
The 8,000 mAh version is also reported to be heading to India. Redmi Note 17 is said to launch in India on August 6.
Mix Fold 5 Emerges in China
Xiaomi is also preparing its next foldable phone, tentatively known as Xiaomi Mix Fold 5. China’s MIIT has certified a device with model number 2608BPX34C for sale in the country.
Reports suggest that the foldable may adopt a wider design than its predecessor. Its form factor has been compared with the approach associated with the Galaxy Z Fold8 and iPhone Ultra.
The inner folding display is rumored to measure 7.6 inches diagonally. A wider body proportion could become a key change for Xiaomi’s foldable lineup if the report proves accurate.
The device may use Xiaomi’s Xring O3 chipset, positioned as the successor to the Xring O1 introduced last year. It is also rumored to run Android 17 with HyperOS 4, though the MIIT filing does not confirm software details.
Other unconfirmed claims point to a 200MP main camera, a 6,000 mAh battery, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. For now, the model numbers and certification records remain the firmest details for both the Redmi and foldable devices.
