Samsung’s New Watches Split Daily Comfort and Outdoor Endurance From Rp 5.999.000

Samsung has introduced two new smartwatches in Indonesia with clearly different purposes. The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is aimed at demanding outdoor activity, while the Galaxy Watch9 prioritizes a slimmer design for all-day comfort.

The two models share new-generation health sensors and Galaxy AI features that turn body data into more personal recommendations. Prices start at Rp 5.999.000 for the Galaxy Watch9 and reach Rp 10.499.000 for the Galaxy Watch Ultra2.

Ultra2 Focuses on Tougher Activity

The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is Samsung’s most premium model in the new lineup. It is designed for people who regularly run, cycle, hike, swim, or take part in other outdoor activities.

Its titanium body is intended to support durability across different conditions. Samsung also positions the watch with longer battery life, more accurate GPS, and higher performance for strenuous activity and long-distance travel.

Health tracking remains central to the Ultra2 experience rather than serving only as a secondary feature. Through Samsung Health, real-time health data can be monitored and translated into AI-based recommendations while the user is active.

Watch9 Is Built for Everyday Wear

The Galaxy Watch9 takes a more daily-oriented approach with a thinner design intended for extended wear. It continues to offer health monitoring, productivity functions, and connectivity with Galaxy devices.

One of its main tools is Vitals, which presents a daily overview drawn from several health parameters. The feature is intended to help users understand their general condition without separately interpreting raw data.

The watch also includes Heart Health Score to provide a broader view of heart health. Daily Cardio Load shows the user’s physical activity burden, which can help with managing workout intensity and recovery time.

Fitness Intelligence analyzes the user’s fitness level and provides more personalized workout recommendations. MX Product Marketing Senior Manager at Samsung Electronics Indonesia Ilham Indrawan said features including Vitals, Heart Health Score, Daily Cardio Load, and Fitness Intelligence are designed to help users understand their body condition more comprehensively.

Samsung is opening pre-orders for all three variants from July 22 to August 13, 2026. The Galaxy Watch9 comes in 40 mm and 44 mm sizes, while the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is available only in a 47 mm size.
