Realme GT 8 Pro Set for Global Launch, Surpasses GT 7 Pro in Performance and Features

Realme is gearing up to launch the Realme GT 8 Pro globally after its debut in China last month. The brand is expected to release this flagship model in India and other worldwide markets by the end of November.

Chase Xu, Realme’s Vice President, shared an official comparison poster highlighting major improvements of the GT 8 Pro over its predecessor, the Realme GT 7 Pro. This new model is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, a step up from the Snapdragon 8 Elite used in the GT 7 Pro.

This upgrade promises a significant boost in performance, especially for demanding tasks like gaming and multitasking. The display has also seen enhancements, featuring a 2K resolution with a 144Hz refresh rate, compared to the 1.5K 120Hz screen on the GT 7 Pro.

The new panel can reach a peak brightness of 7000 nits and supports an ultra-fast touch sampling rate of 3200Hz. This improvement creates a more responsive and fluid user experience during intensive gaming sessions or daily use.

Battery capacity receives a notable upgrade as well. The GT 8 Pro includes a 7000mAh battery supporting 120W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The GT 7 Pro had a 6500mAh battery limited to wired charging only.

On the software front, the GT 8 Pro runs Realme UI 7.0, which brings better optimization, added features, and enhanced security compared to the UI 6.0 on the GT 7 Pro. Additional upgrades include the integration of Hyper Vision AI, Symmetric Master Acoustic speakers, and the 0816 Ultra Haptic Motor for improved tactile feedback.

Realme also introduces GT Boost 3.0 technology and the Signal Catcher Chip, aiming to enhance connectivity stability and speed. These features collectively place the GT 8 Pro as a competitive contender in the global flagship smartphone market.

In terms of availability, sources suggest the global launch will occur on November 20. Pricing is anticipated to be higher than the GT 7 Pro’s launch price of roughly $675 (₹59,999). This increase reflects the advanced hardware and overall improvements present in the newer model.

The Realme GT 8 Pro’s modular design, which allows some components to be detached or upgraded, stands out from many competitors. This design offers added flexibility and potential customization for users.

Realme’s global rollout of the GT 8 Pro signals an aggressive push to capture a larger share of the premium smartphone segment. Its combination of top-tier chipset, high-quality display, enhanced battery capabilities, and specialized features should make it a serious rival to existing flagship devices.

With its competitive pricing strategy and robust specifications, the GT 8 Pro may disrupt market dynamics and draw attention away from established brands. This launch represents a key opportunity for Realme to solidify its presence in the premium global smartphone space.
