Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra: Powerful Tablet for Productivity with Premium Performance Under $900

Samsung has strengthened its position in the premium tablet market with the release of the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. This powerful device targets professionals, creators, and users seeking a versatile tablet for work and entertainment.

The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra features a premium design with a unibody Armor Aluminum chassis, similar to the Galaxy S25 series. Its sleek and sturdy build measures only 5.1 mm thick, 208 mm wide, and 326 mm tall. At 692 grams (Wi-Fi variant), it matches the thinness of the iPad Pro 13-inch while offering a larger display, making it impressively portable for a jumbo tablet.

Robust Build and Display Technology

The front is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, providing strong scratch resistance. Samsung maintained the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra’s rare IP68 certification, ensuring dust and water resistance up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. The reduced waterdrop-style camera notch enhances visual aesthetics compared to the dual-camera notch on its predecessor.

On the back, a simple oval module houses dual cameras: a 13 MP main sensor with autofocus and an 8 MP ultrawide lens covering 120° field of view. The 12 MP front camera with a wide-angle lens suits video calls, eliminating the need for the previous dual-lens front setup.

The tablet supports USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 for fast data transfers and includes a microSDXC slot expandable up to 2TB, meeting both speed and storage needs.

Innovative S Pen and User Experience

Samsung redesigned the S Pen with a hexagonal body and pencil-like tapered tip. This shape prevents the stylus from rolling on surfaces and improves grip comfort for writing or drawing. The new S Pen attaches magnetically to the top edge of the tablet for easy access, though it no longer supports Bluetooth Low Energy, a minor trade-off for many users. The bundled case omits S Pen storage, requiring users to carry it separately.

The entire device sports a matte gray finish that resists fingerprints and feels solid, ideal for mobile productivity without compromising aesthetics.

Powerful Performance with MediaTek Dimensity 9400+

Under the hood, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset built on a 3nm process. Samsung claims it delivers up to 24% CPU, 27% GPU, and 33% NPU performance gains over its predecessor, the Tab S10 Ultra. The Indonesian market receives one variant with 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

Benchmark results highlight strong capabilities, with Geekbench 6 scores of 2596 (single-core) and 8670 (multi-core). Real-world tests show smooth multitasking, handling four simultaneous apps including Chrome, Spotify, Instagram, and Capcut without lag. Gaming performance is solid with Genshin Impact running at 60 FPS on high settings and stable thermals.

Connectivity supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and optional 5G, ensuring reliable internet and device pairing, placing it as a strong competitor to the iPad Pro M4 in productivity and creative tasks.

Long-lasting Battery with Fast Charging

The tablet boasts an 11,600 mAh battery, an upgrade of 400 mAh from the previous model, offering impressive endurance. Video loop tests at 1080p (50% brightness) yield over 17 hours of playback, while web browsing lasts 14 to 15 hours.

Charging supports 45W wired fast charge (charger not included), filling to 21% in 15 minutes and 38% in 30 minutes, fully charging the battery in 90 minutes. The energy-efficient 3nm processor contributes to minimal idle power drain of less than 1% per hour. Reverse charging capability allows using the tablet to recharge smartphones, although wireless charging is not available.

Enhanced Software and AI Features

Running Android 16 with One UI 8.1 optimized for large screens, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra includes tablet mode and DeX desktop mode with extended dual-screen support. Users can create up to four customizable workspaces with quick app access via Edge Panels.

A standout feature is the advanced Galaxy AI integration powered by a robust NPU, enhancing productivity and user experience.

Pricing and Availability

Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra at its Galaxy Event in Berlin on September 4, 2025. In Indonesia, the Wi-Fi variant with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage is priced starting at approximately $1,525 (Rp 23 million), offering a premium tablet experience at a competitive price point.

This device balances cutting-edge hardware, durable design, and extensive software features to meet the demands of professional and creative users while maintaining an accessible price.
