Oppo has officially launched its latest smartphones, the Oppo Reno15 and Reno15 Pro, targeting the mid-to-high end market segment. Both models showcase significant upgrades in processor performance and camera systems, equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset.
The Oppo Reno15 features a more compact design with a 6.3-inch AMOLED display. It boasts a sharp resolution of 2640 x 1216 pixels and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Oppo claims the screen can reach a peak brightness of 3600 nits, enhancing visibility under bright lighting conditions. Security is integrated through an in-display fingerprint scanner for quick access.
Camera and Battery Features of Oppo Reno15
The Reno15 impresses with a powerful camera setup including a 200MP main sensor supported by Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). It also has a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom and OIS, plus a 50MP ultrawide lens. For selfies, it carries a 50MP front camera with autofocus. The device supports a large 6,200 mAh battery, which charges rapidly via an 80W fast charging technology, ensuring extended use throughout the day.
In terms of build quality, the Oppo Reno15 utilizes a metal chassis and meets IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance. This includes resistance to high-pressure hot water sprays. Additional amenities include stereo speakers, WiFi 6 connectivity, Bluetooth 5.4, and ColorOS 16 based on Android 16.
Oppo Reno15 Pro: Bigger Screen and Battery with Wireless Charging
The premium Reno15 Pro variant upgrades the visual experience by featuring a larger 6.78-inch flat AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and the same 120Hz refresh rate. It maintains the peak brightness and in-display fingerprint sensor found on the standard model. Camera specifications mirror the Reno15, ensuring the high-end photography capabilities remain consistent across models.
The key differentiator is battery capacity; the Reno15 Pro houses a 6,500 mAh battery, slightly larger than the standard model, and retains the 80W wired fast charging. Notably, it adds support for 50W wireless charging, a feature absent in the base variant. Due to these enhancements, the Pro version weighs 205 grams compared to 188 grams for the Reno15.
