Xiaomi has officially begun global preparations to roll out HyperOS 3 for its latest foldable device, the MIX Flip. Internal testing has been completed, and the public rollout is expected within the next few weeks.
This update aims to deliver a minimalist user interface, enhanced AI capabilities, and a smoother foldable user experience. The rollout will be phased to ensure system stability across all devices.
Redesigned Minimalist Interface
HyperOS 3, based on Android 16, introduces a fresh interface with redesigned icons and a softer color palette. The navigation flow takes inspiration from iOS, providing a consistent look whether the MIX Flip is folded or unfolded.
One standout feature, called Super Island, shows dynamic notifications and system information in real time without interrupting multitasking activities. Xiaomi has also focused on improving interface responsiveness to better suit foldable usage scenarios.
Smarter AI Integration
The new OS significantly upgrades AI support to boost productivity. Features such as AI-powered Notes automate note-taking, AI Describe provides content descriptions from images, and AI Voice Translation enables real-time language translation during calls or conversations.
Additional AI enhancements include AI Noise Reduction, which improves voice recording clarity, and smart searching via AI Search and AI Gallery Search. Users can now find files or photos more easily by entering descriptive keywords.
Scheduled Updates for Other Xiaomi Devices
Following the MIX Flip rollout, Xiaomi plans to expand HyperOS 3 availability between November and December 2025 to other devices. The update list includes:
- Flagship phones: Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14T Pro, Xiaomi 14T
- Redmi series: Redmi Note 13 Pro, Redmi 15, Redmi 14C, Redmi 13, Redmi 13X
- POCO phones: POCO F6 Pro, POCO F6, POCO X6 Pro, POCO M7, M6 Pro, M6, POCO C75
- Tablets: Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro (12.4”), Redmi Pad 2 Pro / Pad 2
The distribution will remain staggered, and update availability may differ by region and version (Global or EEA). Xiaomi advises users to check the Software Update menu regularly for notifications about the HyperOS 3 upgrade.
