Leaked Pricing Details Reveal Realme 16 Pro+ Expected to Enter Premium Segment Soon

Realme is set to launch the Realme 16 Pro 5G and Realme 16 Pro+ 5G on January 6, 2026, in India. Ahead of the official unveiling, leaked information reveals that the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G will be priced at around 43,999 Indian Rupees, which is approximately $535 USD.

This price indicates a noticeable increase compared to the previous model, the Realme 14 Pro+, which launched at about 29,999 Rupees (around $365 USD). The hike suggests a move toward a more premium market segment, fueled by enhanced features and specifications.

Upgraded Camera System

The Realme 16 Pro+ 5G will boast a powerful 200-megapixel main camera. It is complemented by an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera, emphasizing Realme’s focus on high-resolution photography and advanced zoom capabilities.

Performance and Design

Powered by a modified Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, the phone aims to balance strong performance with energy efficiency. The design will resemble the Realme 16 Pro and come in several stylish colors like Master Gold, Camellia Pink, and Master Grey to attract users seeking an elegant look.

Software and Support

The device will run Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16 out of the box. Realme commits to providing three years of Android OS updates and four years of security patches. Additionally, it includes AI features such as AI Edit Genie 2.0 to enhance photo editing and overall user productivity.

Launch Event and Availability

Besides the Realme 16 Pro series, the January 6 event will also showcase Realme Buds Air 8 and Realme Pad 3. These products are expected to become available shortly after the launch via Realme’s official website and popular e-commerce platforms like Flipkart in India.

According to tipster Paras Guglani, who leaked the pricing details, the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G’s pricing strategy and feature set position it as a strong contender in its segment. While the price could see some promotional discounts at launch, the premium specs justify its higher cost.

This pricing leak and the confirmed impressive camera setup suggest that Realme is aiming to capture more attention in the competitive mid-range and upper-mid-range smartphone markets early in 2026.
