Apple has reportedly rescheduled the launch of the iPhone Air 2 to fall 2026, aiming for a debut around September. This update reverses earlier reports suggesting a delay until spring 2027 due to underwhelming sales of the first-generation iPhone Air.
The new timeline was revealed by tech leaker Fixed Focus Digital on Weibo, confirming the iPhone Air 2 as part of Apple’s autumn event next year. This confirmation contradicts November’s rumors, which predicted a postponement linked to market performance.
The iPhone Air first debuted as a lighter, more affordable alternative to Apple’s Pro lineup. Despite its attractive design and price point, it struggled to gain strong traction amid fierce competition from Android brands in the mid-to-premium smartphone segment.
