Redmi Note 15 5G & 4G Launch: Key Specs and Features You Should Know

Redmi has officially launched the Redmi Note 15 5G and Redmi Note 15 4G in Indonesia, bringing notable upgrades over their predecessors. These new models target young users by offering a blend of advanced features and stylish design, according to Andi Renreng, Marketing Director of Xiaomi Indonesia. He highlighted that the Redmi Note series has shipped over 460 million units globally, proving its worldwide popularity.

Design and Build

Both Redmi Note 15 models showcase a sleek and slim design. The Redmi Note 15 5G is the thinnest in the Redmi Note lineup to date, with a thickness of just 7.35mm for Glacier Blue and Black variants, and 7.40mm for Mist Purple. It weighs 178 grams and features an IP66 rating, which protects against high-pressure water splashes. The Redmi Note 15 4G, slightly thicker at 7.94mm and weighing 183.7 grams, carries an IP64 rating for water resistance.

Display Features

The Redmi Note 15 5G comes with a 6.77-inch AMOLED dual-curved display. It offers a resolution of 2392 x 1080 pixels and a high refresh rate of 120Hz for smoother visuals. The screen reaches a peak brightness of 3200 nits, making it visible even under direct sunlight. Similarly, the Redmi Note 15 4G features a 6.67-inch AMOLED dual-curved screen with Full HD+ resolution and the same 120Hz refresh rate. This display is TÜV Rheinland certified to reduce eye strain, also hitting peak brightness at 3200 nits.

Performance and Hardware

Under the hood, the Redmi Note 15 5G runs on the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. It is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Conversely, the Redmi Note 15 4G employs the MediaTek Helio G-100 Ultra processor, with RAM options up to 8GB and storage reaching 256GB. Battery capacity differs between the two models. The Redmi Note 15 5G houses a 5520mAh battery, supporting 45W fast turbo charging and 18W reverse charging. Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 15 4G packs a larger 6000mAh battery with 33W turbo charging and the same 18W reverse charging capability. This means the 4G variant offers longer endurance, fitting for users who prioritize battery life.

The new Redmi Note 15 series unveiled on January 22 in Jakarta is competitively priced for the Indonesian market and converted to USD as follows:
