Vivo has expanded its V70 lineup in India with the launch of the Vivo V70 FE, a mid-range phone that pushes hard on camera hardware, battery life, and long-term software support. The device targets users who want premium-style features without paying flagship prices.

The new model joins the existing V70 series and arrives with a 200MP main camera, a 7,000mAh battery, and up to six years of security updates. Vivo also pairs the phone with a 120Hz OLED display, a MediaTek 4nm chipset, and Android 16-based OriginOS 6, making it one of the more complete offerings in its segment.

Pricing and availability

Vivo has priced the V70 FE starting at Rs 37,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The 8GB + 256GB model costs Rs 40,999, while the top 12GB + 256GB version is listed at Rs 44,999.

The phone is available in Monsoon Blue and Northern Lights Purple. Sales will begin on April 9 through Vivo’s official website, Flipkart, and Amazon, while pre-orders are already open.

Vivo is also offering launch incentives. Buyers can get the Vivo TWS 3e at a special bundled price, along with up to 10 percent cashback from selected banks such as SBI, American Express, Yes Bank, and Bank of Baroda.

Display and everyday performance

The Vivo V70 FE uses a 6.83-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution of 2800 x 1260 pixels. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and peak brightness of up to 1,900 nits.

This combination should help the phone handle outdoor visibility and smoother scrolling better than many standard mid-range devices. The panel also makes the device suitable for streaming, casual gaming, and daily social media use.

Under the hood, Vivo uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo chip built on a 4nm process. The device comes with LPDDR5 RAM up to 12GB and UFS 3.1 storage up to 512GB, which should improve app loading times and multitasking performance.

Camera system built around a 200MP sensor

Vivo positions the camera as one of the V70 FE’s biggest strengths. The phone carries a 200MP main sensor with a 1/1.56-inch size, f/1.88 aperture, and optical image stabilization, a setup designed to capture sharp images with better detail in varied lighting conditions.

The rear camera setup also includes an 8MP ultra-wide lens with a 120-degree field of view and an Aura Light feature. On the front, Vivo adds a 50MP selfie camera, which should appeal to users who prioritize portrait photos, video calls, and social content creation.

  2. 8MP ultra-wide camera with 120-degree coverage
  3. 50MP front camera for selfies and video
  4. AI features including Magic Weather, Magic Landscape, and Four-Season Portrait
  5. AI-based zoom up to 30x

Vivo has also added software-driven photography tools to expand the camera’s versatility. These include AI Magic Weather, AI Magic Landscape, and AI Four-Season Portrait, along with AI-assisted zoom that goes up to 30x.

Battery life and charging

Battery capacity is another major highlight of the phone. The Vivo V70 FE packs a 7,000mAh battery, which places it among the larger-battery smartphones in the mid-range market.

Charging support is equally competitive, with 90W fast charging claimed to refill the battery in about 60 minutes. Vivo also includes bypass charging, a feature that can help control heat and reduce battery stress during long gaming or charging sessions.

Software support and long-term value

The V70 FE runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, giving it Vivo’s latest software experience at launch. The interface includes Origin Island around the front camera area and AI-based enhancements for everyday use.

One of the phone’s most notable promises is six years of security updates. That makes the V70 FE stand out in a segment where long software support is still not always common.

Durability and extra features

Vivo gives the phone IP68 and IP69 ratings, meaning it is built to resist dust and water more effectively than many competitors. The company also says the phone supports underwater photography, which adds a practical advantage for outdoor shooting.

For audio, the device includes stereo speakers with Gaming HyperSense Audio technology. It also features an in-display fingerprint sensor, NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, dual-band Wi-Fi, and multiple global navigation systems.

The phone measures 163.7 x 76.2 x 7.59 mm and weighs about 200 grams. Vivo also introduces a Darkness Glow Technology effect on the back panel, which creates a soft glow in low light after exposure to light.

The Vivo V70 FE is clearly aimed at buyers who want a balanced package with strong imaging, large battery capacity, and extended security support. In a crowded mid-range market, that combination gives the device a practical edge for users who plan to keep their phone for years.
