GoPro has officially launched the Mission 1 Series, introducing three new action cameras: Mission 1, Mission 1 Pro, and Mission 1 Pro ILS. The lineup signals a more serious push into the premium action camera market, with a 1-inch 50 MP sensor and features that aim to serve both everyday creators and professional production teams.
The new series focuses on image quality in demanding conditions. GoPro says the larger sensor should improve low-light performance and deliver cleaner, sharper footage for sports, travel, and fast-moving content.
A 50 MP sensor designed for more detail
All three Mission 1 Series models use a 1-inch 50 MP sensor, which is a notable upgrade for an action camera. A larger sensor generally captures more light, and that can help produce stronger detail, better color, and improved results when lighting changes quickly.
