OnePlus is preparing to add a new premium tablet to its lineup with the launch of the OnePlus Pad 4 scheduled for 30 April at 12 PM IST in India. The device has drawn early attention because it combines a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, a 13,380mAh battery, and a large high-resolution display in one package.
The positioning is straightforward. OnePlus appears to be aiming at users who want a tablet that can handle demanding work, entertainment, and long periods away from a charger without forcing a compromise on performance.
Performance takes center stage
The strongest selling point of the OnePlus Pad 4 is its hardware. OnePlus equips the tablet with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.
That configuration points to a device built for more than basic media use. It should offer enough headroom for multitasking, heavy document work, and demanding games, while also giving productivity-focused users a faster and more responsive experience.
Large display for work and entertainment
The tablet also gets a 13.2-inch panel with 3.4K resolution, or 3392 x 2400. OnePlus adds support for a 144Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and peak brightness of up to 1,000 nits.
Those details make the display suitable for a wide range of tasks. It can support video viewing, long reading sessions, and visually detailed content, while the higher refresh rate helps movement across apps and games feel smoother.
Battery capacity built for long use
Battery life is another major highlight. The OnePlus Pad 4 carries a 13,380mAh battery, which places it among tablets built for extended use without frequent charging.
Even with that large capacity, OnePlus still includes 80W fast charging. The combination matters because it reduces one of the usual drawbacks of big batteries, giving the tablet a more practical balance between endurance and charging speed.
Premium build and color choices
OnePlus keeps the design language familiar with a metal unibody construction. That choice gives the Pad 4 a solid, premium appearance that matches its high-end hardware direction.
The tablet will be offered in two color options, Dune Glow and Sage Mist. OnePlus is also positioning the device for productivity use through accessory support, adding to its appeal for users who want one device for both work and entertainment.
With its large screen, flagship-level processor, and very large battery, the OnePlus Pad 4 is being placed directly into the competitive premium tablet segment. Attention now turns to how the device is received in India once it goes on sale on 30 April.
