Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro Extends The Canvas, LTPO Display Brings A More Premium Upgrade

Huawei is preparing a more ambitious update for its Watch Fit lineup, with the Watch Fit 5 and Watch Fit 5 Pro both moving toward a larger display experience and a more polished overall design. The changes go beyond appearance, as the series also brings upgraded health features and new material choices that help separate the standard model from the Pro version.

The most noticeable shift is on the Watch Fit 5 Pro, which now uses a 1.92-inch flexible LTPO OLED panel. That display is paired with 2.5D sapphire glass and is said to reach brightness levels of up to 3,500 nits, making it easier to read outdoors and in bright conditions.

A larger screen with thinner borders

The Pro model is also expected to feel more expansive on the wrist because of its display-to-body ratio of 83 percent. According to information shared by DigitalChatStation and reported by Huawei Central, that effect is supported by ultra-thin 1.8 mm bezels that shrink the black border around the screen.

For everyday use, that kind of layout should make notifications, workout data, and health charts easier to view at a glance. It also helps the interface look more modern, since more of the front side is dedicated to the screen itself.

Materials separate the standard and Pro versions

Huawei is also using different materials to define the two models more clearly. The Watch Fit 5 Pro is built with a titanium alloy body and weighs 31.6 grams, while the standard Watch Fit 5 uses 100 percent recycled aluminum.

That approach suggests Huawei wants the Watch Fit series to remain light and comfortable, but also more premium than before. The Pro model in particular appears designed to offer a stronger sense of finish without moving away from the slim smartwatch category.

Shared hardware keeps the lineup consistent

Despite the differences in display and materials, both watches still share several core components. Each model carries a 471mAh battery, with Huawei claiming up to 10 days of battery life in power-saving mode.

The two devices also include Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and built-in GPS. On the standard Watch Fit 5, the display is a 1.82-inch AMOLED panel with peak brightness of 2,500 nits, which is smaller than the Pro version but still positioned to handle daily use for activity tracking, incoming messages, and health readouts.

Health tracking becomes a stronger selling point

All Watch Fit 5 models run on Huawei’s TruSense health platform. The system combines a heart-rate sensor, body temperature sensor, barometer, accelerometer, and magnetometer to monitor activity from multiple angles.

On the Watch Fit 5 Pro, Huawei adds offline color maps and automatic workout detection for various sports. Those additions make the Pro version more practical for users who train regularly and may not want to depend heavily on a phone while moving.

The Pro model goes further with ECG and diving support

The Watch Fit 5 Pro also includes ECG support, which places it closer to the category of more advanced health wearables. In addition, it supports freediving to a depth of 40 meters, giving it a more specific appeal for users with active or water-oriented routines.

Leaked retail box images compiled by gsmarena.com show the Pro model with an orange woven strap that matches the accent line on the casing. Pricing is expected to start at 199 Euro for the Watch Fit 5 standard model and 299 Euro for the Watch Fit 5 Pro, reflecting the larger LTPO display, titanium construction, and expanded health features.
