Apple may be preparing iOS 27 to push Apple Intelligence into features that feel more useful in daily use. The latest leak points to four additions that would spread across Camera, Wallet, Safari, and Health, suggesting a clearer practical direction for Apple’s AI strategy.
The information comes from backend code strings reported by MacRumors, based on findings from leaker Nicolás Alvarez. If accurate, the signal is not that Apple Intelligence is getting louder, but that it is becoming more relevant to everyday tasks.
Visual Intelligence appears to be the biggest update
One of the most notable changes is said to involve Visual Intelligence inside the Camera app. The feature is reportedly being expanded so it can recognize nutrition labels on food and analyze the information it sees.
That data would not stay inside the camera view. The system is said to connect with the Health app and automatically record calories, macros, and sugar intake.
This would make Visual Intelligence feel less like a novelty and more like a tool for turning visual information into something immediately useful. It would also fit Apple’s broader push to make AI work quietly in the background rather than simply showcase technical abilities.
Contacts could become easier to save from the real world
Visual Intelligence is also reportedly gaining support for contact-related tasks. Users may be able to scan printed phone numbers and addresses, then add them directly to Contacts.

Wallet may get help turning physical items into digital ones
Another area mentioned in the leak is Wallet. Apple is said to be preparing AI support for scanning physical event tickets, gym membership cards, and similar documents so they can be converted into verified digital versions.
If implemented, that could reduce reliance on paper tickets and physical cards. It would also bring Apple closer to what users already expect from a digital wallet experience, similar in spirit to Google Wallet’s ability to store loyalty cards, tickets, and other items.

Safari could automate tab organization
Safari is also reportedly on the list. The browser may gain Smart Tab Groups that automatically sort and name tabs based on page content.
The idea is easy to picture. Tabs about a Japan trip could be grouped under “Tokyo Trip,” while recipe pages might be placed into a group called “Dinner Ideas.”
