Vivo has officially brought the Y600 Pro into focus in China, and the phone is drawing attention for one very specific reason: its 10,200mAh battery. Vivo says this is the largest battery it has ever used in one of its smartphones, and the device is being framed as more than just a long-lasting handset.
The company is positioning the Y600 Pro around daily endurance, durable construction, and efficient use rather than battery size alone. It will also run OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 when it reaches the market, adding software support to a package that is clearly built for heavy, extended use.
Launch timing and color options
According to a post from Huang Tao, Vice President of Vivo China, the Y600 Pro is set to debut in China on April 27. The first sales are expected to begin on April 30, giving the device a short gap between announcement and availability.
Vivo has also started revealing the color lineup for the phone. The confirmed options include Floating Gold, Bright Moon Black, Vast Blue, and Starry Purple.
Battery life is the main selling point
The 10,200mAh battery is the headline feature, and Vivo presents it as the biggest battery ever fitted to one of its phones. To match that capacity, the Y600 Pro includes 90W wired fast charging, which Vivo claims can take the battery from empty to full in less than 80 minutes.
Battery endurance claims are equally ambitious. Vivo says the phone can remain on standby for up to 16.7 days, while light use can stretch beyond 24 hours and heavier workloads can last more than 12 hours.
Built for long-term stability
Vivo also says the battery uses second-generation semi-solid technology. That setup is designed to keep performance stable even in temperatures reaching 60 degrees Celsius.
In addition, the company says chip-level AI power optimization helps manage energy use more efficiently. Vivo also claims the battery health is designed to last for up to six years, which places long-term durability at the center of the product message.
Display and protection features
Beyond endurance, the Y600 Pro is expected to focus on day-to-day usability. Vivo confirms that the phone uses a 1.5K-resolution display, and the panel includes eye-care features intended to improve comfort during long viewing sessions.
For security, the fingerprint sensor is placed under the display. That detail suggests Vivo is keeping the experience streamlined while still adding the core features expected from a modern smartphone.
Durability gets equal attention
The Y600 Pro is not being marketed as a battery phone only. Vivo says the device carries both IP68 and IP69 certifications, indicating protection against dust and water.
That level of resistance fits the broader message around endurance, since the phone is being presented as a model meant to handle demanding daily use. The combination of battery capacity and body protection makes the device stand out in a segment where many phones still rely on much smaller batteries.
Other specifications still awaiting full confirmation
Some earlier listings have hinted at additional hardware, but those details still need official confirmation from Vivo. The rumored specifications point to a 6.83-inch OLED display with a 1,260 x 2,800 pixel resolution, along with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300e chipset.
Memory options are said to go as high as 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Camera specs have also been mentioned in circulation, including a 50-megapixel rear camera and a 32-megapixel front camera.
The Y600 Pro is set up as the successor to the Vivo Y500 Pro, which was introduced in November 2025. With its huge battery, 90W charging, 1.5K display, OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, and IP68 plus IP69 ratings, the Y600 Pro is clearly aimed at users who prioritize staying power, durability, and long-term practicality.
