Lenovo has expanded its ThinkPad lineup with the ThinkPad T14 Gen 7, a business laptop that puts performance, configuration flexibility, and premium display options at the center of its appeal. The model first appeared at Mobile World Congress 2026 and is already drawing attention for its Intel Panther Lake processor choices and the availability of a 2.8K OLED panel.
Availability is still uneven across regions, however. Lenovo has not yet brought the laptop to all markets, and North America remains listed as “coming soon,” even as sales begin in selected regions.
Intel leads the first wave
For the initial release, Lenovo has chosen an Intel-only path for the ThinkPad T14 Gen 7. That decision positions the device clearly as a premium business notebook built to balance efficiency and strong everyday performance for office workloads.
The processor range starts with the Core Ultra 5 325 as the entry option. Above it sit the Core Ultra 5 332 vPro, 335 vPro, and 338H vPro, followed by higher-tier selections such as the Core Ultra 7 355, 365 vPro, 356H, and Core Ultra X7 358H.
A rumored AMD version does not appear in the early sales list. That includes the configuration linked to Ryzen AI 7 Pro 450, which means the first market push remains focused on Intel hardware.
Display options set the tone
Lenovo also gives the ThinkPad T14 Gen 7 a more premium visual identity than a standard business laptop. The most notable option is the 2.8K OLED display, which is aimed at users who want sharper detail, richer color, and stronger contrast for documents, presentations, and design-related tasks.
The OLED panel reaches up to 500 nits of brightness. It also supports a variable refresh rate from 30 Hz to 120 Hz, which can make motion feel smoother while also helping with power efficiency when higher refresh output is not needed.
For buyers who do not need OLED, Lenovo still offers a 14-inch IPS panel with 1200p resolution. This gives the ThinkPad T14 Gen 7 a broader range of display choices while keeping the device aligned with business use.
Base configuration keeps the device practical
In its starting configuration, Lenovo equips the laptop with 16 GB of LPCAMM2 memory and a 256 GB PCIe Gen 4 SSD. That setup is aimed at fast daily performance and responsive file handling for common work scenarios.
The base model also includes a 60 Wh battery. Combined with the standard 14-inch form factor, the configuration suggests a machine designed not only for premium positioning but also for sustained use during long work sessions.
Upgrade paths for heavier workloads
The ThinkPad T14 Gen 7 is not limited to its launch configuration. Lenovo allows RAM expansion up to 64 GB, while storage can be upgraded to a 2 TB PCIe Gen 5 SSD.
That headroom gives professional users more room for demanding workloads. Tasks such as large-scale data processing, graphics work, and virtualization can benefit from the expanded memory and faster storage options.
Security and connectivity remain part of the ThinkPad formula
Lenovo keeps several familiar ThinkPad features in place for business users who need security and convenience. The laptop supports NFC, a fingerprint reader, and an IR webcam for facial recognition.
There is also an optional 4G WWAN configuration for mobile connectivity without relying entirely on Wi-Fi. For charging, Lenovo includes a 100W USB Type-C adapter, while a larger 75 Wh battery option is available for users who want longer runtime.
Pricing in the United Kingdom starts at £1,560. In Europe, the ThinkPad T14 Gen 7 is listed between €1,719 and €1,829 depending on the selected configuration.
