The hands-on video circulating online shows a metal dummy that has already drawn attention from tech watchers. The source behind the leak is said to have a solid track record, especially because its early view of the iPhone 17 lineup was considered close to the final products Apple eventually released.
A smaller Dynamic Island is the clearest front-side change
The top section of the display is where the leaked dummy seems to differ most clearly from the current generation. According to the unit shown in the video, the Dynamic Island is expected to shrink by about 25 percent.
If that figure holds, the cutout area would go from just above 20 mm to around 15 mm. Apple is not moving to a hole-punch design, so the familiar concept remains in place, but the visible footprint at the top of the screen could become noticeably smaller.
