The device is said to move away from the familiar Galaxy Z Fold shape by adopting a 4:3 main display and an unusually thin body, a combination that could signal a different direction for Samsung’s foldable lineup.
The latest details also suggest that this is not just a styling exercise. Render images had already pointed to a form factor that looks different from the standard Galaxy Z Fold series, and Ice Universe is said to have reinforced the reported body measurements and screen ratio. That makes the overall picture of the device much clearer, even though Samsung has not confirmed anything officially.
A thinner build takes center stage
Among the leaked figures, the most attention-grabbing number is the 4.3 mm thickness when the device is unfolded. That places Galaxy Z Wide Fold in the category of extremely slim foldables, where every fraction of a millimeter matters for both engineering and daily handling.
The unfolded dimensions are said to be 123.9 mm in height and 161.4 mm in width. When folded, the device is reportedly 9.8 mm thick and 82.2 mm wide, which matches earlier leaks and strengthens the impression that Samsung is aiming for a compact design that still opens into a broader canvas.
That thin profile matters because foldables have long been judged not only by their display size, but also by how comfortable they feel in hand and in a pocket. A body that slim can be appealing, but it also highlights the engineering challenge behind balancing size, portability, and durability.
The 4:3 display ratio changes the idea of a foldable
The most distinctive element of the leak is the reported 4:3 aspect ratio for the main screen. That format is much closer to a tablet-like layout than a conventional smartphone screen, which suggests that Samsung may be prioritizing a more spacious viewing experience once the device is opened.
