AOC’s 2K 360Hz Monitor Packs Mini LED and HDR1000 at a Far Lower Price

AOC has introduced a 27-inch gaming monitor in China that pushes several premium features into a far more accessible price range. The Q27G4SLM6/WS combines 2K resolution, a 360Hz refresh rate, QD-Mini LED backlighting, and VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification, with a launch offer starting at 1,919 yuan.

That combination stands out because it targets competitive gamers who want speed without giving up display quality. At the regular retail price of 2,099 yuan, the monitor still remains aggressive for a model that includes 1,152-zone local dimming and a peak HDR brightness of 1,200 nits.

Fast IPS with Mini LED and Quantum Dot

The Q27G4SLM6/WS uses a Fast IPS panel paired with Mini LED backlighting and Quantum Dot technology. AOC is clearly aiming to deliver quick response times alongside stronger contrast and richer color than a typical budget gaming monitor.

The monitor features 1,152 independent local dimming zones, which are controlled through a four-level dimming engine. In practical terms, that setup is designed to improve precision when bright and dark areas appear in the same HDR scene.

AOC says the panel has earned VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification. It is rated for 1,200 nits of peak HDR brightness, 700 nits in typical HDR use, and 450 nits in SDR mode.

For gaming performance, the display runs at a native 360Hz refresh rate. AOC also lists a 1 ms gray-to-gray response time and AMD FreeSync support to help reduce screen tearing.

Built for more than games

The display is not limited to speed-focused use. Its 10-bit panel uses 8-bit + FRC and is claimed to cover 100% sRGB, 99% DCI-P3, and 98% Adobe RGB.

AOC says the unit is factory calibrated with an average Delta E below 2. The company also includes 12-axis color adjustment, positioning the monitor as suitable for color-sensitive work such as photo and video editing.

That gives the Q27G4SLM6/WS a broader appeal than a typical gaming-first monitor. Users who want one screen for entertainment, competitive play, and content creation get a more versatile package.

Connectivity, comfort, and console support

AOC has added several features aimed at daily comfort and multi-device use. The monitor includes TÜV-certified circular polarization technology designed to mimic natural light, along with flicker-free and low-blue-light features.

Those additions matter because high refresh rates and brighter HDR output are often used for long sessions. The goal is to keep the panel comfortable enough for extended gaming or work.

It also supports Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture modes. These functions make it easier to display two sources at once, which can be useful for a PC and console setup or for work and entertainment side by side.

Connectivity includes two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The pair of HDMI 2.1 inputs gives the monitor extra flexibility for users who want to connect multiple modern devices.

The HDMI 2.1 ports support full 48Gbps FRL bandwidth, which allows 4K 120Hz HDR transmission with Variable Refresh Rate for current-generation consoles such as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Even though the panel itself is 2K, that capability shows the monitor is not aimed only at PC gaming.

Ergonomics round out the package

The included stand offers a full set of ergonomic adjustments. Users can raise the display by up to 130 mm and adjust tilt, swivel, and 90-degree pivot orientation.

AOC also keeps 100 x 100 mm VESA mount compatibility in place. That makes it easier to use an arm or wall mount for a cleaner desk layout.

Q27G4SLM6/WS is already listed on JD.com in China. With the promotional price set at 1,919 yuan and the standard price at 2,099 yuan, it arrives as a notable option for buyers looking for a 2K 360Hz monitor with Mini LED, Quantum Dot, and HDR1000 without moving into a much higher price bracket.
