Vivo has expanded its mid-range lineup with the launch of the Vivo T5 Pro 5G in India. The phone stands out quickly because it combines a massive 9,020mAh battery with a display that peaks at 5,000 nits, two features that directly target users who want long endurance and strong outdoor visibility.
The device also arrives with an asking price starting at Rs 29,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model. That positioning puts it in a competitive premium-midrange space where battery life, display quality, and sustained performance often decide buying choices.
Big battery, fast charging, and slimmer body
The largest upgrade over the previous Vivo T4 Pro is the battery. Vivo has increased capacity from 6,500mAh to 9,020mAh, a jump that should appeal to heavy users who spend long hours on streaming, messaging, gaming, and work.
Despite the larger cell, Vivo says the phone still keeps a manageable profile at 8.25mm thick and 213 grams in weight. It also supports 90W fast charging, with Vivo claiming the battery can reach 50 percent in about 37 minutes.
Display built for brightness and smooth use
The Vivo T5 Pro 5G uses a 6.83-inch LTPS OLED panel with 1.5K resolution. The screen is based on Visionox VM9 technology, which Vivo says helps deliver sharp colors and strong contrast.
It also supports a 144Hz refresh rate, which should make scrolling and gaming feel fluid. Peak brightness reaches 5,000 nits, while high brightness mode goes up to 2,000 nits, helping the screen remain readable under direct sunlight.
Vivo has also included 2,160Hz PWM dimming to reduce eye strain in low-light use. That detail may matter to users who spend long periods reading or watching content on their phone at night.
Performance and gaming focus
Under the hood, the smartphone runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. Vivo pairs it with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, a combination aimed at keeping daily performance responsive.
The company claims the phone can reach around 1.2 million points on AnTuTu. Vivo also says the device supports gaming up to 120FPS, which suggests a clear focus on mobile gaming and smoother frame delivery in supported titles.
To control heat, the phone uses a 7,000mm² vapor chamber cooling system. Vivo describes it as one of the largest in its segment, and that should help maintain stable performance during longer gaming sessions.
Camera setup and software support
On the back, the Vivo T5 Pro 5G carries a dual-camera system led by a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor with OIS. The main camera is joined by a 2MP depth sensor, which supports portrait shots with background blur.
At the front, there is a 32MP selfie camera. That setup should be enough for video calls and social media portraits, with Vivo aiming for detail and clarity in everyday use.
The phone runs Android 16 with OriginOS 6 on top. Vivo also promises three major OS updates and five years of security patches, which gives the device a longer software life than many phones in the same class.
Durability and connectivity extras
The Vivo T5 Pro 5G carries IP68 and IP69 ratings, giving it protection against dust and water exposure. It also includes an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, an IR blaster, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2.
Vivo offers the phone in two color options, Cosmic Black and Glacier Blue. Sales are scheduled to begin on 21 April through Flipkart, the Vivo India eStore, and offline retail stores, giving buyers several channels to access the new model.
