Nothing OS 4.1 Reaches Eight More Phone Models, New AI Tools and Live Updates Expand

Author: Qoo Media

Nothing has started pushing Nothing OS 4.1 to a wider set of phones, and the rollout now reaches eight devices across the main Nothing lineup and CMF. The update is not arriving all at once, so some users may already see it while others will need to check manually.

For owners who have not received a notification yet, the simplest way to verify availability is to open Settings, then go to System, and select System Update. Because this is a phased rollout, the absence of an alert does not necessarily mean the phone has been left behind.

Which phones are getting it

According to the information compiled from Gizmochina, Nothing OS 4.1 is currently available on these eight devices: Nothing Phone (3), Nothing Phone (3a), Nothing Phone (3a) Pro, Nothing Phone (2), Nothing Phone (2a), Nothing Phone (2a) Plus, CMF Phone 2 Pro, and CMF Phone 1.

That list covers flagship phones, midrange models, and devices from CMF, showing that the update is not limited to the newest hardware. One model that is still outside the current rollout is Nothing Phone (3a) Lite.

Nothing has already confirmed that the Phone (3a) Lite will receive Nothing OS 4.1 in May. Until that update arrives, owners of the model will need to wait for their turn in the next wave.

What to expect after the update

Nothing OS 4.1 adds three new Breathing Break widgets designed to create short pauses during the day. When opened, the widget runs a timer and guides the user through inhale and exhale prompts, turning a basic breathing exercise into a built-in system feature.

The update also introduces Essential Voice, an AI-based voice-to-text tool that supports more than 100 languages. The list includes regional languages such as Hindi, Bengali, and Tamil, although the feature is not arriving on every supported device at the same time.

Based on the available information, Essential Voice is still missing on Nothing Phone (2) and CMF Phone 1. The other devices in the current rollout list already have access to it.

Gallery and live information get useful upgrades

Another notable addition is AI Eraser in the Nothing Gallery app. The tool can remove unwanted objects from photos and is said to detect bystanders and reflections, while still allowing manual selection when more precise editing is needed.

Nothing OS 4.1 also broadens Live updates, making real-time information visible across more parts of the interface. On compatible devices, the feature now works with Glyph Matrix and Glyph Interface, while status details can also appear on Always-On Display, the Status Bar, the Lock Screen, and Notifications.

Visual changes and system improvements

The update package includes a new clock face taken from the Phone (3a) Community Edition, designed by community member @jadzok. Its inclusion reflects how Nothing continues to use community-made elements in the visual identity of its devices.

Nothing also bundled the April 2026 security patch with this release, along with bug fixes and stability improvements. Those additions are aimed at keeping the software experience smoother as the rollout expands to more phones.

With support now reaching eight devices and the Phone (3a) Lite queued for May, Nothing OS 4.1 is becoming available across a broader slice of the company’s portfolio. Users who have not yet seen the notification can still check manually through System Update while the staged rollout continues.
