Xiaomi 17T Pro Raises The Bar, Snapdragon Rivalry Meets 7,000mAh Power and a Higher Price

Xiaomi’s next T-series phones are emerging with a more ambitious formula than before, and the biggest talking point is battery life. The latest leaks point to two models, Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro, with the Pro variant said to carry a 7,000 mAh battery.

That shift matters because Xiaomi does not appear to be positioning the T lineup as a lower-priced alternative anymore. The leaked specifications suggest a stronger push into premium territory through faster displays, larger batteries, more capable cameras, and faster charging.

Xiaomi 17T leans on performance and efficiency

The standard Xiaomi 17T is said to feature a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1268 x 2756 pixels. It also supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which should help make everyday scrolling and gaming feel smoother.

Under the hood, the phone is rumored to use the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. That combination shows Xiaomi is still aiming to keep the base T model firmly in flagship-level territory while balancing power use for daily tasks.

Camera setup stays serious on the regular model

Photography is also expected to remain a major part of the package. Xiaomi 17T is said to bring a triple rear camera system led by a 50MP main camera with a Light Fusion 800 sensor.

The other two rear cameras include a 50MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and a 12MP ultrawide unit. On the front, Xiaomi is reportedly using a 32MP selfie camera, which keeps the standard model competitive even below the Pro version.

Battery capacity becomes a central selling point

One of the clearest signs of Xiaomi’s changing direction is the battery size on the Xiaomi 17T. The device is rumored to pack a 6,500 mAh battery, which is unusually large for a premium-class smartphone.

That battery is paired with 67W fast wired charging, while the device is also said to weigh 200 grams. The software side is not being neglected either, as the Xiaomi 17T is expected to run HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.

Pricing indicates that Xiaomi is also pushing the T-series upward. The Xiaomi 17T is said to cost 749 Euro, or around Rp 13 million, which signals a more upscale position than earlier expectations for the lineup.

The Pro model moves further into premium territory

The Xiaomi 17T Pro is where the upgrades become more aggressive. It is rumored to carry a larger 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, giving it a bigger panel and a faster visual response than the standard version.

Performance is also expected to rise sharply with the Dimensity 9500 chip. That places the Pro model in a higher class of MediaTek-powered devices and reinforces Xiaomi’s intent to treat it as a more serious premium handset.

7,000 mAh battery and faster charging define the Pro version

The headline feature of the Xiaomi 17T Pro is its 7,000 mAh battery. That capacity is paired with 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, creating a package designed for both endurance and convenience.

Camera details for the Pro model are said to resemble the standard device, but with a more advanced Light Fusion 950 main sensor. That suggests Xiaomi is keeping the overall imaging structure familiar while improving the core sensor on the higher-tier model.

Higher prices underline the new direction

The pricing leak makes the series’ new positioning even clearer. Xiaomi 17T is said to start at 749 Euro, while the Xiaomi 17T Pro reaches 999 Euro.

Compared with the 15T series, the increase is said to be around 100 Euro, or about Rp 1.7 million, which strengthens the impression that Xiaomi is moving the T line into a more premium bracket. Both models are also expected to arrive in blue, black, and purple, with a launch tipped to happen as early as next month.
