Motorola’s latest foldable push is built around choice, not just one headline model. With the Razr 70 Series 2026, the company is splitting its lineup into three clear tiers: Razr 70, Razr 70 Plus, and Razr 70 Ultra.
That approach gives Motorola a wider spread in the foldable segment. The standard model focuses on balance, the Plus version pushes display smoothness and speed, and the Ultra sits at the top as the premium option.
Three models, three different positions
The naming also changes by market. In North America, the devices arrive as Razr, Razr+, and Razr Ultra, while the global market uses the Razr 70 Series identity because of the 2026 release.
This structure makes the family easier to read at a glance. It also shows that Motorola is aiming at more than one type of foldable buyer, from practical users to those who want the most advanced version.
Razr 70: the balanced entry point
The Razr 70 is the base model, but it still carries specifications that are strong for a foldable. Its main display is a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with a 1080 x 2640 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits.
On the outside, Motorola uses a 3.6-inch LTPS AMOLED cover screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 1,700 nits. That setup lets users handle quick tasks without opening the phone every time.
Performance comes from the MediaTek Dimensity 7450X, paired with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The camera system includes a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 32MP front camera.
The battery is one of the larger ones in the group at 4,800 mAh. Motorola also includes 30W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and an IP48 rating.
Razr 70 Plus: faster screens and stronger hardware
The Razr 70 Plus steps up with a more aggressive display and performance package. Its main panel is a 6.9-inch LTPO Extreme AMOLED display with a 1084 x 2640 resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate.
The cover display is also larger at 4 inches, using an LTPS Extreme AMOLED panel. It supports a 165Hz refresh rate and reaches 2,400 nits of brightness, making the outer screen more capable while the phone stays closed.
Motorola equips this model with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, along with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The camera setup remains the same as the regular model, with a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 32MP selfie camera.
Its battery is slightly smaller at 4,500 mAh, but charging is faster through 45W wired support and 15W wireless charging. The Razr 70 Plus also keeps the side fingerprint sensor and IP48 certification.
Razr 70 Ultra heads the lineup
At the top of the series sits the Razr 70 Ultra. Motorola has not revealed all of its details yet, but its position in the family is already clear.
The Ultra is aimed at users who want the most premium foldable experience in the Razr 70 lineup. It is expected to represent the flagship side of the series, with the strongest emphasis on performance, materials, and exclusive features.
Taken together, the three devices show a more defined strategy from Motorola. The Razr 70 covers the balanced segment, the Razr 70 Plus targets users who want faster screens and stronger hardware, and the Razr 70 Ultra is reserved for the top tier of the foldable market.
