Honor has expanded its budget phone lineup in China with the Play 70C, a device built around endurance, a large display, and basic everyday practicality. The most eye-catching combination is the 5,300mAh battery paired with a 6.75-inch screen, both of which help the phone stand out in a segment where low prices often mean obvious compromises.
The starting price is CNY 599, which places the Play 70C squarely in the entry-level category. That positioning makes the balance of battery life, screen size, and core features more important than premium extras, and Honor has clearly tuned this model for users who want a simple phone that can handle daily communication and media use.
Big screen, smooth refresh rate
The Play 70C uses a 6.75-inch LCD panel with HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. That combination should feel more fluid than the 60Hz panels still common in the lowest-priced phones.
With its large display and sizeable battery, the device appears aimed at users who spend a lot of time on calls, messaging, and content consumption. The emphasis is on convenience and longevity rather than advanced hardware that would push the price higher.
Entry-level hardware with multiple memory options
Inside, Honor equips the phone with the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra chipset. It is an octa-core processor paired with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage.

Simple camera setup for daily use

The Play 70C also fits into a broader push within Honor’s Play lineup. Alongside it, the company has introduced the Play 80 Plus, which brings a 7,500mAh battery and a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, giving buyers in the same market more than one budget-oriented choice.
