Huawei has positioned the nova 15 Max as one of its most attention-grabbing mid-premium phones, and the reason is easy to see: an 8,500mAh battery paired with a 120Hz OLED display. That combination gives the device a clear selling point in a market where endurance and smooth daily use matter more than ever.

The phone was introduced in Thailand, a move that suggests Huawei is preparing it for a wider audience beyond a single market. Alongside its large battery, the nova 15 Max also leans on a premium design and modern connectivity features to strengthen its appeal for everyday use.

Battery life is the main headline

The strongest feature of the nova 15 Max is its 8,500mAh battery. Huawei says the capacity is large enough to support all-day activity without forcing users to look for a charger too often.

To keep charging practical, the phone includes 40W fast charging. That makes the device especially relevant for users with busy routines, including those who spend a lot of time gaming or streaming entertainment on their phones.

A larger OLED screen for smoother use

On the front, the nova 15 Max uses a 6.84-inch OLED display with Full HD Plus resolution. The panel also supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which helps animations, scrolling, and video playback feel smoother.

The generous screen size also gives more room for multitasking. Huawei pairs that visual space with a design direction that still aims to feel premium in the hand.

Cameras keep the setup practical

Huawei equips the nova 15 Max with a 50MP main camera using an RYYB sensor. The company claims this sensor is better at capturing light, especially in low-light conditions.

At the back, the phone also includes a 2MP secondary sensor. For selfies and video calls, Huawei adds an 8MP front camera, while the circular rear camera module reinforces the phone’s modern look.

A familiar design and an unconfirmed chipset

The nova 15 Max is said to feel familiar because it is reportedly a rebranded version of the Enjoy 90 Pro Max. That model was previously launched in China in March.

Huawei has not officially confirmed the chipset. Even so, the device is expected to use the Kirin 8000, the same chip found in the Enjoy 90 Pro Max.

Connectivity, security, and durability

The phone includes a wide set of modern features. These cover a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an infrared sensor, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GPS, USB Type-C 2.0, and 4G network support.

Huawei also adds an X Button that works as a shortcut for quick access to certain functions. On top of that, the nova 15 Max has earned SGS Five-Star certification for body durability.

Price and color options

The nova 15 Max comes in three color choices: Blush Gold, Golden Black, and Lake Cyan. For the European market, the starting price is 449 Euro or around Rp7 jutaan.

Huawei is also expected to bring the device to several other global markets soon. With its massive battery, 120Hz screen, and broad feature set, the nova 15 Max stands out as one of the most notable models in Huawei’s current lineup.
