Tecno’s Camon Slim is shaping up to be one of the more unusual phone launches in its category. A device carrying the word “Slim” is now linked to a 7,000mAh battery, which immediately sets it apart from the usual trade-off between thin design and battery capacity.
The clearest signs so far come from certification listings. FCC and Tecno’s Carlcare database suggest the phone is approaching its official debut, although Tecno has not announced pricing or a release date.
Battery capacity is the headline
The FCC listing identifies the Camon Slim with battery model BL-68DX. It lists a typical capacity of 7,000mAh and a rated capacity of 6,840mAh.
That same filing also confirms 60W fast charging. Power delivery is said to go through Tecno’s U600TSA adapter.
For a phone expected to carry a slim profile, that battery spec stands out immediately. Large-capacity cells are more often associated with thicker devices, which is why this detail has drawn so much attention.
Not every market may get the same battery
A separate TÜV Rheinland certification points to a different battery setup for certain regions. In that document, Tecno is tied to 5,800mAh and 5,430mAh capacities for select markets, including Europe and Saudi Arabia.
That difference suggests Tecno may be adjusting the hardware for local regulations or for design priorities in specific countries. For now, the filings indicate that the Camon Slim may not arrive with a single universal battery configuration.
Model number and service registration add more clues
The device has also been identified under model number CN6c. That identifier appears across several certification platforms and reinforces the idea that the phone is moving closer to launch.
Its presence in Tecno’s Carlcare database is another meaningful sign. Listings in service systems often indicate that a product has entered the company’s after-sales ecosystem, which usually happens before a formal unveiling.
Design and connectivity are starting to take shape
FCC schematic documents give an early look at the back design. The phone appears to use a horizontal pill-shaped camera module with two sensors.
That layout is said to resemble the design approach Tecno used on the Spark Slim. While the certification images do not show the full body, they already offer a clearer sense of the Camon Slim’s visual direction.
Connectivity support also looks fairly broad. The listing confirms NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and LTE, while there are also signs of 5G support.
Other early details are still unconfirmed
Previous leaks have suggested the Camon Slim may run on a MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset. That has not been officially confirmed, but it points to the performance tier Tecno may be targeting.
The same early information also mentions a 6.78-inch AMOLED display. If accurate, that would place the phone in a segment that tries to balance slim styling with a competitive viewing experience.
On the software side, Android 16 with HiOS 16 has also been mentioned in early reports. That remains unconfirmed, but it adds to the picture of a device that is being prepared with current software and a sizeable hardware package.
The memory and storage details are more concrete. Camon Slim is listed with 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of storage, depending on the variant.
With FCC and TÜV approvals now in view, the Camon Slim appears to be moving through the final stages before launch. The remaining question is whether Tecno can deliver a true slim handset without giving up the 7,000mAh battery that has made it stand out from the start.
