A 20 May launch in China puts iQOO 15T squarely in the spotlight, but the real attention comes from the hardware package it is set to bring. The device is positioned less like a conventional flagship and more like a performance-first phone built to last longer and push harder in demanding games.
What makes the model stand out immediately is the 8000mAh battery, a capacity that is unusually large for this class. iQOO pairs it with 100W wired fast charging, which suggests the company is aiming to balance long endurance with quick top-ups rather than forcing users to choose between the two.
Gaming performance takes center stage
iQOO is also framing the 15T as its most aggressive gaming device yet. The company says it will be the world’s first phone to use the Dimensity 9500 Monster Edition, supported by a built-in Q3 gaming chip.
That combination is expected to improve frame stability while keeping power use lower. iQOO claims the phone can maintain nearly full-frame gameplay for 30 minutes while staying under 5W of power consumption, including in heavy titles such as Genshin Impact.
The Q3 chip is also said to enable 2K resolution and 144Hz frame interpolation at the same time during gaming. That places visual smoothness and sustained performance at the center of the phone’s appeal.
Large display and premium build direction
On the front, iQOO 15T uses a flat 6.82-inch “Everest” display with 2K resolution and slim bezels. The panel choice reinforces the phone’s premium performance identity while keeping the screen sharp enough for gaming and media use.
The overall weight is said to be around 216 grams, which points to a large body shaped by the battery and performance hardware inside. That fits the broader direction of the device, which appears designed for users who value stamina and sustained speed more than compact size.
Camera setup and design details
iQOO has also outlined the rear camera configuration. The phone carries a dual-camera system with a 200-megapixel main sensor and a 50-megapixel secondary sensor, while the front camera uses a 16-megapixel sensor.
Visually, the iQOO 15T follows the iQOO 15 Ultra with a square camera module inspired by a transparent design theme. It is scheduled to arrive in Qingyun, Track Edition, and Legend Edition colors.
Software and launch timing
The phone is expected to run OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, adding to the impression that iQOO is preparing this model as a new-generation performance device. With the launch set for 20 May at 19:00 local time in China, the company is preparing to show whether its bold battery and gaming claims translate into the final product.
Taken together, the 2K display, 8000mAh battery, 100W charging, Dimensity 9500 Monster Edition, and Q3 gaming chip make the iQOO 15T one of the most closely watched performance phones in the lineup. The official unveiling will determine how far iQOO can push its gaming-focused formula in a single device.
