Q11X Emerges as Redmi’s Next Flagship, With HyperOS 3 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Rumors

Fresh rumors around Redmi’s next flagship point away from the long-expected Redmi K100 Pro Max name and toward a device identified as Q11X. That shift has drawn attention because it suggests Redmi may be revising not only the model code, but also the branding direction for its upcoming high-end phone.

The latest information comes from tipster Experience More, who says the internal project path has moved from Q11U to Q11X. Q11U had previously been linked to the Redmi K100 Pro Max, so the new code has fueled speculation that Redmi is no longer moving ahead with that name.

A possible change in Redmi’s naming strategy

The speculation has gained traction because Redmi has usually followed a fairly consistent pattern in its flagship naming. Redmi K90 Pro Max is known to carry the internal code P11U, which led many observers to expect its successor to follow a similar route through Q11U before reaching the market as Redmi K100 Pro Max.

That expectation now looks less certain. The latest leak opens the door to a different branding direction, including the possibility that Redmi may abandon the “Pro Max” label for the next flagship series.

Some rumors have also pointed to another possible name, Redmi K100 Ultra. That has added to the sense that the company may be reconsidering how it positions the next top-tier Redmi model.

Q11X appears to be aimed at a true flagship tier

The hardware side of Q11X is also drawing interest. The device is said to have been spotted running an early version of HyperOS 3, which reportedly has been optimized for a 2nm fabrication architecture.

That detail matters because it suggests Redmi is preparing something well beyond a routine refresh. A setup tied to 2nm architecture usually points to a premium device, and the current talk around Q11X fits that profile.

Based on the available clues, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 is now being discussed as the likely chipset for the phone. If that holds, Q11X would sit firmly in flagship territory with a major performance jump.

The combination of an early software build and 2nm optimization makes the project look more serious than a minor variation of an existing model. It also reinforces the view that Redmi is building Q11X as a full flagship rather than a simple step-up device.

International branding may differ from the China version

There is also a possibility that Q11X will not stay limited to the China market name. Another leak suggests the same device could be rebadged globally as Poco F9 Ultra.

That would follow Xiaomi’s familiar approach of reusing Redmi hardware under a POCO name for international markets. If that path is taken again, the same phone could end up with different identities depending on where it is sold.

For now, Redmi has not confirmed the final name or the specifications of the device. Still, the growing set of leaks makes it increasingly likely that the successor to the Redmi K100 Pro Max, or whatever it is eventually called, is already taking shape under a new internal code and possibly a new market identity.
