Disney+ users who also use Hulu now have a more connected experience, especially when their profiles are linked. Once that link is in place, Hulu viewing activity and recommendations begin appearing inside Disney+ without needing to switch between apps.
The change matters because it brings watched titles, saved shows, and personalized suggestions into one place. It also makes Hulu content easier to find through Disney+ navigation, including a dedicated Hulu hub and a personalized “For You” area on the Home screen.
How linked profiles change the Disney+ experience
When a Hulu profile is linked to Disney+, the connection only needs to be made once. After that, Hulu viewing data is carried into Disney+ and reflected in familiar areas of the app.
Titles watched on Hulu will show up in Disney+ “Continue Watching.” Content saved to “My Stuff” on Hulu will also appear in Disney+ under “Watchlist,” which helps keep saved programming in sync across the service.
Recommendations also become part of the Disney+ experience. Users with linked profiles will see personalized suggestions in the “For You” tab, including Hulu content, which gives the Home screen a more tailored feel.
Where Hulu content appears inside Disney+
Hulu content is accessible in more than one place on Disney+. One option is the Hulu tab in the top navigation bar, which opens a dedicated Hulu Hub.
That hub is meant to help users move directly into Hulu programming without hunting through the broader Disney+ catalog. The “For You” tab also surfaces relevant Hulu titles for linked profiles, which adds another discovery path.
For mobile viewers looking for something new, Disney+ also points users to “Verts on Disney+” from the bottom menu. The feature offers a vertical video feed designed to help people browse and find new viewing options.
What is still limited for now
Not every Hulu feature is available inside Disney+ yet. Live TV and add-ons remain in the Hulu app for now, and Disney+ says those options will come to the platform later.
Disney+ is also preparing to test a new Live Guide for subscribers. The guide is designed to make live content easier to locate, including Streams such as ABC News Live and Disney+ Playtime for all Disney+ users, plus ESPN networks for entitled ESPN Unlimited subscribers.
That means the integration is still expanding rather than fully complete. For the moment, linked profiles mainly improve discovery, recommendations, and watchlist continuity while some Hulu-specific tools stay in the Hulu app.
