Madison Beer drew attention during a concert soundcheck in Amsterdam when a live Q&A moment took an unexpectedly personal turn. As she spoke with fans on stage before her “Locket Tour” show, her phone rang, and the caller was Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert.
Beer answered the call in front of the audience and then quickly told Herbert that she was busy at the moment. She still made the exchange playful and affectionate, telling him “I Love You” before ending the call.
A viral moment during the Amsterdam soundcheck
The clip spread on X after fans captured the moment at Ziggo Dome, where Beer performed on May 21. The scene stood out because it mixed a concert setting with a very public glimpse of the couple’s offstage relationship.
Beer later leaned into the moment again during the show. While performing “Baby,” one of the tracks on her tour setlist, she sang the lyric directly toward the area of the arena where Herbert was watching.
The song carries extra meaning for the pair because Herbert starred as her romantic lead in the music video. Beer changed the lyric to reference him, singing, “I’m the best you ever had, Justin, I can turn you on.”
Herbert’s overseas trip during the NFL offseason
Herbert’s appearance in Amsterdam fit into an offseason stretch that has kept him away from team activities. The Chargers quarterback traveled to Europe to support Beer on tour and was also seen with her in Paris the following day.
The report noted that Herbert skipped a couple of voluntary spring practices, including Phase 2 sessions that were open to the media. Those workouts are optional under the NFL’s collective bargaining agreement, while the team’s formal OTAs were set to begin on May 26.
Mandatory minicamp, where veteran players are required to attend, is scheduled for June 16 to June 18. Beer’s European leg of the “Locket Tour” is set to wrap up on May 31 in England, and the tour will then return in June for dates across the United States and Canada.
More public appearances as the relationship stays in the spotlight
Before Beer’s Amsterdam performance, the couple also spent a night off together at Harry Styles’ concert at Ziggo Dome on May 20. Their relationship has already drawn public attention before this latest viral clip.
Herbert and Beer confirmed their relationship in October 2025, when cameras caught them kissing on the sidelines during a Los Angeles Chargers home game against the Washington Commanders at SoFi Stadium. Since then, their appearances together have continued to attract interest whenever Beer performs or Herbert travels with her during the offseason.
