DoorDash appears to be experiencing a widespread outage, with thousands of users reporting errors while trying to place orders on Sunday afternoon. According to DownDetector, around 6,000 users flagged problems with the delivery platform, many of them seeing messages such as “something went wrong” and “unexpected error try again later.”
The biggest issue seems to be hitting checkout, where users said their shopping carts would not go through. DownDetector data showed 38% of reports tied to the app not working, while 17% were related to ordering problems.
Users Say Orders Fail At Checkout
Frustration quickly spread across social media as users described repeated error messages and failed attempts to complete purchases. DoorDash has not issued an official update so far, and no replies were being sent from the DoorDash Help X account, which handles complaints on the platform.
DoorDash serves about 56 million monthly active users, with close to 60% based in the United States. That large customer base made the outage especially noticeable as complaints piled up online.
Social Media Complaints Mount
Many users took to X to vent about the disruption. One wrote, “DoorDash is acting up. Am I going to have to cook for myself tonight? OMG,” while another asked whether others in Raleigh, North Carolina were seeing the same error on multiple phones.
Other users said the platform had taken money despite the failure, with one asking, “DoorDash took anyone else’s money tonight with a b.s ‘error’ or just mine?” Another added, “DoorDash fix your damn wonky a** app. Im trying to feed my family.”
Additional posts showed the same urgency, including “DoorDash what’s going on? I’m hungry and about to starve now 😭” and “How long is this gonna go on DoorDash ???? I need my food lol.”
